So, there are a plenty of reason why this show gotta be loved, and they are floating around the forum with the most beautiful descriptions. But i just want to add one thing how they have managed to capture the ironical aspects of life in a way more subtly possible.
I love how Imans family is portrayed in the show, while his family belongs to a more urbane setting compared to Harleens family we cannot brush aside the fact harleen might have faced while waiting for 17 long years. More so when they are from a rural set up (?) she is expected to be more emotional, and a set up which can be limiting her, but she took up everything in her stride. Also not to mention the union of Harleen and Sartaj was of an arranged type than Naz and imans where love played the role. Inspite of that love couldnt sustain the relation. Ofcourse the situations were such that that , it brought salim closer to Naz.
Can i say i love the way shaira is been portrayed , no not because of here rebellious side, though i do enjoy it at times, and i cannot manage to contain myself when a boy is being kept in control and girl is being given her freedom and her right to manmani. I am not talking about what shaira does is right or wrong. Usually in an Indian family setting a girl is given less privilege than a boy, so i enjoy the role reversal. There was even a dialogue from shairas brother to Naz ''why dont u cbecome strict to shairaa, just like u are to me'' Well the irony.
I think i am the least one in the forum who thinks Naz and salim are gonna end up together, not that i want but they deserve to be together. And at the end Iman might win over as abu for Shaira might lose Naz to salim.
Not to mention this guy playing Iman has my heart ❤️ The subtlety in his portrayal.
