I really felt sorry for both the men. On one side we have Sartaj who thinks he is a burden to his family while his family thinks otherwise. Harleen has waited 17 years for her husband. His father, brother and his wife their son are quite happy to have him back in their life. They feel their family is complete with Sartaj coming back.
Imaan he tries to be part of the family. He wants to be normal and he makes every effort also because he believes his family love him. Alas the equation is different here. Both his kids and even his wife has almost moved on. He has become an unwelcome guest in the lives of Naz and Salim who were ready to take their relation forward, his kids want Salim as their abu and Iman is a stranger for them.Complications would have been less if Salim had married. In Sartaj's family his brother having a good family life ensures when he comes back he is welcome. Because 17 years when a man and woman both kind of single move around being emotionally close, relations do develop. And when suddenly the past relation comes in, it will be difficult to graspFor Sartaj when his perception breaks it will be happiness, but for Imaan the day the perception breaks that will break him too. Sartaj will thank life, and Imaan will feel it would have been better if he was a martyr.
