Frankly speaking, I think she's the most relatable character so far. Maybe it's just me, but it's how I felt.

The girl's been with Salim for 17 years. She doesn't even remember her biological father. Of course she would be attached to the current one. Also, she's a teenager who just now got hit with the fact that she'll lose the one guy in her life who's been her saviour. He's not only a father figure to her, he's been a rock. He's the one who saves her when she gets caught out late, who pampers her, who takes care of her mother and brother. He's been her 'Abu' in every sense. Of course Imam isn't at fault, but where is she at any? When you see from an outside POV, she might have got her father back, but if you see it from her POV, she's just now going to lose her father. I haven't watched the episodes yet where she's rude, but I would think it's her own insecurities showing, rather than her trying to be mean to Imaam.

Honestly, I've been thinking that since the very first episode. I hate her attitude, and right away we could tell she's not gnna care about anyone except herself

Snehhaa! I am so so so so happy to see you on this forum and now please catch up with all the episodes so that we can have more discussions 🤗
And as always you are bang on in your analysis!
Totally agree that its very difficult for Shaira to suddenly feel any love or affection for a man who happens to be her biological father and especially after the whole 'Qubool hai' moment. But I do somewhere feel she needs to show a little bit of sensitivity considering what Imaan has gone through for 17 years. Whenever she's talking to him (She never does) or reacting to something he says or does, she looks so annoyed and disinterested. No one's asking you to run into his arms but one can at least fake some courteousness? I mean take the case of her own brother, Ayaan. He's gelled up so well with Imaan and in the new episodes that have been released on hotstar we see him calling him 'Dad' or 'Abbu' without hesitation and lets not forget Ayaan's ''Come onn" at his Dadi's stubborness over Imaan not being dead but just missing.
Shaira can be sad and upset about the fact that all her plans of her mom's happiness got ruined because of his return but she can at least pretend to be glad about the fact that a man, missing since 17 years, in a war is finally back with his family and looks genuinely happy to be back.

Hey beautiful! Thank you, gosh that's quite a welcome! I'm so glad, I'll stay here 'till someone destroys one of the leads. But then, this is Nikhil Advani and not you-know-who! 😆

I'll scrap you, but coming to the topic in question. I don't disagree. She is inconsiderate, but she's also a teenager. Teenagers react differently to different issues. I'd have expect it to be honest. Also, girls are a lot more vindictive and attached to people in their lives. Boys *insert Ayan here*, are somehow more accepting of things. I've realized that in real life as well. A boy would blend, he wouldn't specifically care much, especially because see, like here, having his father has been great for Ayan. He doesn't think about his mother, what she might or might not want. His life just got better. It's not selfish, it's simpler. Boys don't like overthinking and complicating stuff, unless they're in love. For Shaira however, she'd feel her whole world slipping through her hands, especially 'cause she initiated the whole 'Qubool Hai' sequence. Getting them together was her feat, and not seeing it fall apart pisses her off. So much that she doesn't realize she's venting it out on someone else. I kind of want to see Imaam confront her at some point, and talk to her. I think trying to have Salim talk to her is a pathetic idea. Imaam should talk to her, sit down and explain. Teenagers can be rebellious, but they can also be reigned back if you try. 😉

I think it's understandable. For her, her father is just for namesake and there is no emotional connect. She sees him as a stranger/villain who came in between her mom and Chachu's love story.

agree she doesnt have any connect with him and for her salim will be abu. But cant she just be polite. very human quality. the man even though a stranger is been in hell for 17years. least she can do is be polite and nice to him and understand that even he is not at fault

Really, even I was pi--ed-off with her behaviour because she dons that "#MyLifeMyChoice" stuff but also wanna have that "I don't give a f@#k about others, what matters to me should be everyone's priority" SOE complex everytime. 😳

But after 19th of November 2016 episode (Episode 12), I can relate more to her. 'Change of heart', anyone?? 🤔

P.S. BTW, the title of this thread 'literally' brought a smile to my face lately. 😉 😊

Sorry?? How does Shaira's behaviour and attitude with a person who happen to be her biological father have anything to blame on Naz and Salim's relationship?? Are you trying to imply they're "sinners"? And/Or after Imaan's [sudden] disappearance and stale-responses from his employer, they "presumed him dead because they were happy to"? And/Or they "wanted him gone i.e. they wanted to get rid of him, let alone suffering due to his memories"? 😕

While I didn't think the need to 'disclaim' (since it's 'nice' to initially trust the intelligence of the other side you're having a dialogue with), yet having learned from my own experience and following the footsteps of 'seniors' here, please be informed that: So far, I'm neither contesting nor supporting your remarks. I'm just trying to clear-out my doubts before 'jumping-the-gun'. Now, need to even 'defend' why I raised only those queries which are apparently 'negative'?? 🤔
