Now coming to negative character portrayals I hope everybody here is mature enough to understand that what we see on-screen is fiction! People who potray neg roles on-screen are generally very famous for their good characters off-screen like Amjad Khan, Amrish puri, etc. These ppl legends! So I second with the above quotes as even I don't get why was there was a need to justify anything to anyone.
And my personal favorite is SRK n every fan knows that one of his biggest hits n best acting was in Darr movie! I mean who can forget his "k k kirrrann! " ?! He was a stalker there and that too an extreme level of it! But hey dats what made him a star! He gave us chills n stole our heart with his acting at the same time! 😃

Honestly, by providing unneeded justifications, it feels like he's positioning himself as a victim and good guy while the CVs are the villains for having such characters and "using" him. But then again, that could just be my polisci degree kicking in 😆

Also, I'd like to clarify something: the CVs are NOT using Tahir. W*F does using an actor even mean? As an actor, your job is to portray what your directors and writers tell you to portray. You may not agree with them, but you gotta do your job. Plus, he's being paid for his acting. That's not using, it's a mutually beneficial relationship between the two. If Tahir is so annoyed, he can just leave. By constantly favouriting bad tweets about NAUC, he's just making himself look bad and unprofessional. And it's not just him. Even Merhzan looks bad favouriting those tweets. Shit-talking your own production, something that makes you money, is not cool.

Looks like my post is gone out of my hands. 😆

Everybody has the right to comment and share their opinion on the above post.

But guys plz be little careful about your certain words.Hope you can understand which specific words I am mentioning about.

In UK they are common words used in every day life so I don't mind, but I don't think in our country it's like that.

If this is about me and my tendency to use swear words like f**k, shit, etc. then I apologize. I'm used to using them nonchalantly in my daily life so I don't realize that they can actually be offensive. Being offensive is not my intention and I'm sorry if I come across that way.

I appreciate his views. But I dont know why is he commenting like that. Does he really think we all will judge him by the character he play??? isnt this post somewhat against the show he is a part of ???😕

That's what is confusing me too Rema. It's good that he is clarifying how stalking is bad, which truly is. It's really appreciable the kind of work Taher does for women empowerment. But Viraj is completely different and it's fiction. I am sure viewers know to the distinction. Bringing in the makers wasn't needed, rest of the points were fine.

i think there are some blind fans who always mixes up reel and real
so they must have harassed taher for his role as viraj and so saddened
by that he had responded.😕

also i read he being bound by contract is being forced to abide
so if he had openly spoken up against the cvs then i will say
he has solid guts did not fear the future rather dared them to
take action either change this creepy illogical script or release him
and let him have his peace

In my opinion it's one thing to advice fans not to follow the actions of a grey or negative character but quite another thing to imply that that by playing a grey character he is being "wronged" by the producers and writers.

I can't help but think that Taher is not being completely professional here and that this type of conduct may prove to be a complete disadvantage to someone who is in the early stages of his TV acting career as a male lead. I don't see many production houses looking kindly to comments like these and his act of favouriting negative tweets.

P.S. I don't often post although I am an avid fan of NAUC and the forum here. But I felt I had to comment on this.

Btw I have to say that I really enjoy reading the messages that you, shwets, Ekstase, Teogapi and davearcha post ( among several others whose names elude me right now). It's nice to see reasoned thinking and arguments even if you are arguing for opposing sides.

If Viraj is being bashed, Taher has to be happy that he is doing his role amazingly well. It's success to him and the writers then. Taking a stand is fine, but needn't justify is my point, saying it's the maker's decision, which just says he isn't happy, again which needn't be openly spoken about.

If he is bound by contract, vice versa applies too. Both probably are waiting for the contract to end.

I agree. Bringing in the makers was not good. Its a bit unprofessional. I would not have minded if he said that after stepping out from the show but now while still heis working in the show its unprofessional. Maybe he was frustrated by the tweets and comments in fb and is saying he is just doing his work??? he too seems to be frustrated by the fan wars in fb and twitter.

Again...If he had mentioned he is just doing his work, I wouldn't have had any problems. But putting across that it was the maker's decision- It's always the maker's decision. Actors never have a word in that, how their character progresses. They have to ACT, that's it. They don't have the royalty of interfering in the script, not even the lines they speak. I am sure, being a director himself, he would know that.

I definitely feel he isn't happy with the way Viraj has changed. Fair enough. But pointing fingers at the maker's as if they have done a huge mistake is wrong. Viraj is changed for a reason.
