We got to see one of those rare moments when Ramesh and Nisha were arguing.
Before going into Ramesh-Nisha. Lakshmi, though silent most of the time in the scene, made her presence felt. She hit the right point. If Nisha considers them to be invading her privacy, she is doing the same to Viraj.
Dadi's presence, asking Ramesh to listen to Nisha played a huge role. She knew her son could take care of the issue. He just needed to calm down. She did exactly that and left the rest to RL to take care. The pride on her face when Nisha said she would be called a coward, she knew she has put forward the right point.
Ramesh just can't stand the fact that Nisha has been writing mails to Viraj anonymously. In addition, she has been spending all her time thinking about Viraj's and LA's welfare. He wants her to stop it understandably. Nisha, on the other hand, little annoyed, little guilty for writing those mails, doesn't want to be treated like a kid, and wants to make her own decisions. Both completely right from their perspective. Just that they had to understand each others' perspective.
I, honestly, expected this argument and anger to continue for a few days, but loved to see the father-daughter duo understanding each other and patching up quickly. Ramesh's line that he isn't God to help her all the time, and he just wants her to be happy was amazing. Nisha's reverse psychology of calling herself a fool, knowing Ramesh wouldn't accept to demean herself in front of Viraj was done smartly. His anger came down in the same rate in went up, understanding Nisha cannot back down from the competition as she has given word, and will be called a coward. It was good to see a matured Nisha understanding her father's worry, convincing him to allow her for one last mail was how it should be done. Ramesh cannot stay angry for long, and gave her the chance she needed.
Beautifully written scene and performed well by all the four actors: Vivek, Aneri, Pubali and Veena ji. There is so much warmth in the relationship of these four characters. Hoping to see more similar scenes and more bonding in these 4.
