It's a good lesson because even people who are generally very honest and good people might take the support of a lie. The person might feel by lying, he or she will escape getting in trouble, as BD thought he would be able to do by lying to Bobby. In the end though, he ended up getting caught up in a tangle of lies, to the point that his friend's relationship with his wife was almost ruined. We sometimes do not realize how quickly one lie can escalate into a huge mess. Of course, this is a T.V. show, so it was a little bit exaggerated, but lies can get out of control like that.
Shivay already had warned BD about lying to Bobby and throughout he kept trying to get BD to tell the truth. He even pointed out how Babuji was able to tell lies because he is practiced at telling them. Shivay even came at the end to tell BD how now BD has two choices: either to save his friend's home from being destroyed by speaking the truth or to continue the lie and destroy three homes. Luckily, BD spoke the truth, and luckily everyone was very nice about it. He could have lost his job due to his lies because it affected his temporary boss's home. Also, Dolly could have gotten more upset too, but she calmed down once she found out the truth. Bobby could have also gotten very upset and stop trusting BD so much, but poor Bobby took the blame upon herself and said it was because of her suspicion that he felt the need to lie. It was also good to see how Shivay continued to support and guide BD throughout the mess BD created with his lies. Shivay knows that BD is a good person, but sometimes even good people get onto the wrong paths. This is how God guides us all and continues to support us, and He brings us back to the right path.
I did not agree with how the writers just ended the string of lies with Bobby feeling guilty for being suspicious of her husband. She should not have doubted him, but he was also praising Malika ji all the time in front of her despite knowing she was having doubts and strange dreams. I know he spoke and acted innocently, but his talks and behaviors became the fuel for the fire starting inside of Bobby. Shivay even warned him about this. BD was in the wrong for lying, and Bobby did have a right to be angry with for lying. I guess maybe they couldn't stretch the theme into next week, so the writers decided to end it like that.
