No idea.
Apart from the pleading before Goddess, they kept everything the same. So I guess, Ayush taking the earring also fell under the same category.
But then Bengali version of Nishant was worried that no one would remember anything & Pandit Ji started pleading.
TBH, it made no sense the way they ended it.
