HT-Shweta goes on a long honeymoon

The actor has just returned from a two-week vacation in Thailand with husband

With two big shows on her plate at the time of getting married last month, taking time off for a honeymoon was like a distant dream for Shweta Tiwari. But her elimination from the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Ja, and a leave from her other show, Parvarrish, came as blessings in disguise. So the actor quickly planned a getaway with husband Abhinav Kohli.

A source informs, "The couple went for a 15-day honeymoon to Thailand. Since Shweta was burdened with a lot of work, they did not plan the trip in advance; the makers of Parvarrish had given her a 10-12 day leave for the wedding."

The insider adds ,"Now as the show is about to go off air, the producers could manage without her, and perhaps that's why they decided to give her a long break," adds the source.

In an earlier interview, Shweta had told HT Caf that she and her husband would love a long vacation. "Abhinav doesn't want to take off just for four days (for honeymoon). He wants at least 15-day break." When contacted, Abhinav confirmed that they had been to Thailand for the honeymoon.

Shweta Tiwari tied the knot with Abhinav, her beau of three-and-a-half years, on July 13 in Mumbai.
