yeah...every movie is 3D now...and they are changing old movies to 3D now...no offence... but who will watch sholay in 3D now?

Yes, it was in 3D.

It's just a tactic to make money, and post conversion to 3D doesn't look that good. Shot in 3D looks nice, but mostly in movies with heavy CGI, so that you can enjoy it.
