Holy passive aggression Batman! ๐ฒ
I'm legit shocked by this interview cuz Sanaya always seemed like such a fun, happy go lucky kind of girl. Maybe she's just having a bad day but this revealed a completely different and unexpected side to her. And it ain't a pretty one.
Even if I ignore the "judges are not gods" bit that for some reason she felt compelled to say five more tines in case we missed it the first five times, there was still that thing she said about "we used to dance a lot in the beginning and didn't get scores so we started to dance less LIKE OTHERS and got scores". I mean, just how bitter is that statement? Matlab itna passive aggression? Not only is she taking a dig against the other participants, she's also implying that the judges were blatantly unfair to her in their scoring. Did it occur to her that perhaps her initial acts just went that good? I guess apart from feeling entitled to the votes and the trophy, she also feels entitled to good scores.
And then she goes ahead and implies that she's being deliberately put into the bottom cuz obviously, it's absolutely unthinkable that anyone else could get more votes than her. Because, you know, she's the only one working hard apparently. Zara audacity tou dekhiye.
And the dig against Sanam and Abigail was so unnecessary. First of all, Abby is NOT a professional and matching up to Sanam is an unbelievable task in itself. It was bad enough that the judges don't take Abby into account when scoring Abinam harshly but now Sanaya's also seemingly negating her efforts.
Secondly, and more importantly, I've had it with people talking about "professional dancers" when they knew the score going into the show. Everyone has their own advantages, be it skill, or popularity. In fact, being a professional on such shows is always a curse because the judges are literally at your throats very single week, expecting sheer perfection from you. And then some. For instance, take Monaya's best act and have Abinam perform it and I doubt they'd get more than a 7. Cuz being "professionals", they have to be leaps and bounds better than everyone else. Literally everyone has used a strong concept as a crutch on this show at one point or another. Heck, Sanaya herself admitted that the acid attack act has less dancing. But they don't realize that the "professional" couple don't get that luxury, cuz for them, this might as well be DID.
All this bitterness, arrogance, entitlement... This entire interview was just so off putting, you know? Shame, cuz I did like her. :/
