Producer Ranjeet Thakur rubbishes claims of Sajid Khan's comments being harsh and rude in Nach Baliye
Viewers have not even witnessed the third round performances in the big stage of Star Plus' Nach Baliye 6, but take a look at the tension that is beginning to surface.
It looks as though majority of the contestants are already upset with the way judge Sajid Khan remarks and ridicules them. In fact, few of the contestants even voiced their opinion on the basis of anonymity that they do feel hurt with the harsh and rude comments passed by the judge. Another contestant went on to say that Sajid's comments actually depend on his mood. If the well-known director (Housefull, Hey Baby) is in a good mood, he is sweet, if not he insults us. The online community of fans also accuse him of being partial towards Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee.
In order to know their thoughts on the judgmental calls taken by Sajid in the show, we talked to Ranjeet Thakur, Producer, Frames Productions and he out rightly dismissed the accusations saying, "Sajid is honest. If your boss tells you that your job is not good, is it wrong? Rather than feeling hurt, do you not learn from your mistakes and try to get better?
Here I feel that Sajid is unlike other reality show judges and does not sugar coat his comments. Agreed that Sajid's comments are blunt, but then if you misread his bluntness as rudeness, there is nothing I can do about it."
Another contestant supported Sajid by saying that jodis find Sajid sir's remarks rude only if they had a bad outing on the dance floor.
Ranjeet also dismissed charges of favouritism by the judges. "They are completely neutral. They just come on the day of shoot and rank the jodis as per their performance. They neither support anyone nor do they have an axe to grind against any one. The format of our show is very honest."
Guess this is just the beginning... There's a long way to go before scores get settled on the dance floor of Nach Baliye.
