We were asked twice but we said a no. Both of us are very keen to work with each other. But we wouldn't want the first to be a reality show. If it was singing, maybe. But dancing, no. Of course I'm sure it's a wonderful experience being part of such a show. But, dancing is something I'm clueless about. I'm petrified ! Ashutosh and I are not dancers. We don't even dance socially.
But ever since you've joined Shiamak Davar's dance class, there's buzz that you are doing the show...
I joined the class because I have always been scared of dancing. I wanted to get rid of my inhibition. In college I never danced at socials. I don't even boogie in front of my friends. I've joined this class for the pure joy of it. It's a beginner's course in jazz ballet. At the end of it we will perform in front of many students. We'll also be judged by other senior students along with Shiamak and then be given our certificates. At the moment we are practising on the number jhoom barabar jhoom.
Has Ashutosh seen you dance?
Never! But maybe some day soon. He's very excited about this and is eagerly waiting to see me dance. Maybe I should practise a special number only for him (laughs)!
You said Ashutosh and you would like to work together, but not in a reality show to begin with. So what would you like it to be?
I'd like to act with him. Or direct him. I have completed my Hindi film script, which has an interesting role for Ashutosh. It's a story revolving between a young mother and Ashutosh. But, there is no romantic link there.
You are also working on a Marathi film script...
Yes. Currently I'm busy with that. Ideally, I'd like to direct the Marathi film first.
What about TV serials post-Jeete Hain Jiske Liye?
There have been offers. But right now I'd like to concentrate on my script. If I take up a show my focus will shift to acting.
