I think he was better off as Neil in NK than as Kabeer in EBSS. I don't find him convincing in this role, whereas he used to own Neil's character efficiently. In this particular soap his acting is falling flat I don't know why though. Hope it will improve once we get to know more about his character and he gets to perform properly.

He hasn't been given anything to do so far, hence why you think he is flat as kabir, but he was phenomenal today in his face off scene with ayub khan. Other than this face off he hasn't really had much to do.
On and off. I was never a fan of Shrenu but she is killing it as Jhanvi in this show. I cannot believe she is this good. Oh my the change from good to bad to good is amazing. I like Jhanvi/Dhruv pair more than Kabir/Kavya pair. Zain looks huge next to Tanvi, plus Tanvi cannot act and I feel Zain overacts to compensate that the whole romance looks forced. I hope the writers do not force chemistry between this pair. It will make it akward
Instead the writers should focus on lot of other relationship that seems to work in this show. The relationship between the brothers, the mom/Kabir, Jhanvi/Kabir and even the dad/Kabir relationships. Forgot even the Ayush/Kabir bond is nice. I feel like Zain is overacting. Would love to see him tone down his voice and yet be effective just like Shrenu, subtly. Would love to see him vary his acting skill so we feel we are watching Kabir rather than Neil. That is what he is going to need to grow up as an actor. He needs to think of something unique for Kabir, that fans would gush over how different Kabir is. Maybe the walk or mannerisms or something. Currently when I see EBSS, I feel like I am watching an older version of Neil with a different name - Kabir. Zain looked very young and skinny in NK. You can see he has aged look wise and is a little more bulky in EBSS.
Hope he figures out something to make Labor look and feel different.

You were right, this week his performance was quite good.
Zain is not even in the montage of his new show ...his role is so limited..There’s quite a few new shows out now on colors and the other channels ...where the shows Centre around the male lead and female lead..I’m watching some new shows and thinking Zain would have been great in this show...The role of Kabir is really not doing justice to Zains acting ability..it’s such a pity that he couldn’t bag one of the other nice shows that are now out..As for Aditi..is she even trying to get work,..I wonder ,.😐

yes there’s quite a few good shows out...I’m watching bepanah pyaar, kawach and there’s another show called Vish...on colors. All 3 do have a slight supernatural element ..kawach is majorly supernatural but the other 2 ..is modern with a small supernatural element...but both are definitely better that the show he’s in presently ..and the male leads are strong with a variety of scenes to show ofF their acting .skills...Zain would have rocked these shows..Originally posted by: -shopaholic-

but ek brahm,.is a Saas bahu show ..and he hardly has any screenspace or proper story in it...Actually bepanah pyaar is quite nice..it’s a love story,..and that vish show is not a saas bahu show. but anyway it would just be nice to see him in a strong male lead show ..where he has lots of screenspace ..But he’s stuck with Ek brahm now,.Originally posted by: -shopaholic-

If zain chooses wisely next, he may bag a supernatural show. There are so many supernatural shows being made, that he could ultimately get the male lead role one day in a supernatural show.
