Sometimes life really takes unexpected turns. Ask Maaninee Misra, who has done popular TV shows like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Sanjeevani apart from films. She was a history student, who dreamt of becoming an archaeologist. Then she did her Masters, both in English literature and Psychology! "Life really takes unexpected turns. I think I was destined to be an actress. Otherwise, I might have been digging my heels in some desert!" she says. Ask her about future projects and she sounds excited, "You are going to see me in Fashion. Also, I am doing Astitva and Naginn. There are a couple of other films and shows as well." Having been a part of both movies and popular TV shows, which medium has she enjoyed more? "Well, give me any canvas and I can fit in as an artist! The reach of television is phenomenal. However, you get more time to prepare in films. I have really enjoyed both. Today, a lot of young people are coming in as far as TV is concerned. It's a tough medium and you require tenacity to survive," is her take. So how is the off-screen Maaninee? "I am very spontaneous, energetic and a positive kind of person, who is always itching to do good work. I am also very critical of myself. In my spare time, I love to read," she informs. Maaninee, who has a daughter named Dianoor from her earlier marriage, got married again in a 'whirlwind fashion' to actor Mihir Misra, in a matter of just four days! "I really needed a man like Mihir, who is very mature and open-minded and not a myopic. He respects the work that I do and respects my identity, be it as an actress, a mother or a wife. That he is from the same profession helps, too," she avers. '+ capt +' '; belly ad.innerHTML = b2 + b1; | |||||||
