Stuttering, A gimmick?

I am not back.. and I was not even following this show for a long time...

But recently I saw a clip of this show while changing channels.. And I had some questions..

So.. Pratha's daughter looks like her (RIP Rishabh's genes(?)).. No problem...

They are separated... Fine.. I can buy that.. probably editors support this choice....(I don't even want to know the reason for separation.. just )

but why was she stuttering? I mean... I understand they need to show that mother and daughter look different and are different people..

maybe only mom could wear specs.. but then they gave the daughter also some large specs(so as to show that she is not a young 'Pratha').. making it hard...

I am sure they didn't want the disastrous wig from Tina Dutta during her 'Uttaran' days.. (Those who didn't get the reference, consider yourselves lucky)

But wasn't there any other way? maybe make the daughter US returned-english speaking- mini skirt wearing.. etc.. but nope she is FL ... how can she wear short skirt and be modern? That is Blasphemy!!!

I don't know.. The stuttering just feels like a gimmick..

Of course I am overthinking it..The stuttering will disappear with the mother's death... but still.. wanted to complain

Unpopular opinion, but the stuttering stands out because Teja is a bad actor. Its so forced and un natural, feels almost like comedy. Its exactly like when she had the fake English accent (which she claimed she did to make it funny). Its like a pardoy of 70s, 80s movies where such things was the norm.

A better natural actor would use it to add character in their acting and to make characters stand out in double roles. Which is why i think its in the script

But to be fair, i don't think i saw nice examples in ITV...

In movies.. yes...

But in hindi serials.... not much.

And maybe it is also that the people working in the show (writers, directors, actors etc)are not much invested...

Bold - It was already shown for the previous generation FL when she came back in disguise to take revenge from Mahek and Rishabh.

But I can't understand with the stammering part which will disappear however when she become a Naagin. Except dresses and voice modulations, there is no difference from Pratha and Prarthana. Maybe short hair could've been given like a tomboy.
