It was good indeed...so many actors that I like are in this.... Teja, Abhishek Varma, Urvashi and Sudha. Let's see how it goes further but they impressed me with the money they spent on the show 😆

I have such mixed feelings about it, this is the first time I watched Naagin, so I have no precedent to compare it to. A couple of things that I liked about it were:

1) Mahek did an amazing job as the Sheshnaag in my opinion. She had the perfect aura needed for the role, was both menacing and terrifying at the same time, especially in that scene when she injures the boys who were harassing Pratha.

2) They did a decent enough job using mythology to justify the storyline, ever since I saw the ad, I've been wondering how the hell a snake can defeat the virus, but the explanation wasn't completely crazy. I'm not a hindu so I can't say how accurate it was but as a regular audience member, I bought it.

3) The story moved at a fast pace and minus a few odd seconds here and there, the editing wasn't that choppy.

4) Tejasswi had very little to do in this episode, but she was good nonetheless, showed huge potential when she was in the dubbing studio and saying the lines of the naagin side by side with Mahek attacking them. Her voice modulation there was spot on.

5) Sudha and Urvashi likewise who had very little to do, also did a really good job.

6) The premise is interesting, it's easy to bet that someone from Rishabh's family is one of the asurs, and with the variety of characters they introduced, I am curious to see who it is and fingers crossed it's not Sudha again because that's just getting tiring. His onscreen dad has more potential to be a villain IMO.

Now the cons:

1) The character of the professor is really overdone, legit looks caricaturish as opposed to a real person tbh.

2) The entire sequence at the beginning when all the monks assembled and disbelieved the professor until the virus spread looked too animated and cartoonish.

3) Chingistan (enough said here) 🤣

4) As other people already mentioned, the fact that the Sheshnaag came out because of the desh ki mitti is just. I get patriotism, but it was very overdone.

5) Didn't like Simba much, but it's also too early to comment.

Overall the actors were good, even the story is okay, but Ekta went too out there even for a supernatural show in terms of scenes and dialogues.

So overall it's a 3/5 for me right now.

Agreed with all the points. The Professor was essentially there just to spout some exposition with no character at all. Manit Joura is soo good at what he does, he has soo much range and tbh I still have high hopes from this character. But poor guy, all he speaks are just plot points and nothing else. I'm still hoping they give Manit something worthwhile to do with time and give the professor a personality too. 😆

P.S. They didn't even tell us the Professor's name fgs!!! That's how much of a non-character he was. Justice for Manit! 😆

I have mixed views lets see how it goes

I did like the amrit manthan touch as it make sense

Manit as the professor is too good

Teju the human is good her naagin avatar is what i am looking forward lets see how she transform into the seshnaagin

Simbaa is also good he is a army officer thats a good touch to his character and what is EK obsession with the name Rishabh i mean all her shows there is one person name Rishabh lets see how he is added to the plot and i hope he remains the humsn he is and not some twist that he is a rival clan naag, cheel and so on. He is a army officer thats a good start to his character

Teju-Simbaa looks good together credit to BB lets see their chemistry in the love story its still too early to say

Mahek is too good as naagin i like her style & attitude👌🏼

The VFX seriously sucks big time where are those N1 & N2 makers their VFX were good

After longest time heard the tune Tere Sang Pyar Mein brings nostalgic memories of the whole Naagin Franschise and all the couples of the franschise flashes across the mind

Lastly the best comes at last the two iconic vamps together wow mesmerise by their screen presence its been decades now with Kahiin Kisi Roz & KZK 1 they still remain the iconic vamps and will remain evergreen. I am awaiting to see both together i guess this season for me the pull is Sudha Mam & Urvashi otherwise i left last 2 seasons half way

Coming to the technical part gosh its too fast its only the 1st epi and everything is going zoom that i lost touch at some point

I hope this season Rishabh is her own son unlike Ritik from N1 & Rocky from N2🤣

Naagin Franschise is a fantasy genre thus brains are shut shut than what the hell was that patriot song for a naagin wake up call🤣i can't get over that at all🤣

I hope no naagmani nonsense in this season
