That's the speculation floating around.

I came to know about it from my friend's uncle so I shared it over here.

And yes, there are these type of contracts where the actors aren't allowed to work with any other shows on any other channel till the length of their contract is complete.

Star Plus is famous for signing their leads with binding contracts of this type.

Recently, Nakuul Mehta of Ishqbaaz had been yanked off India's Got Talent coz Star had an exclusive contract with him

Not only that, all Bigg Boss contestants have this exclusivity contract with the channel that for 1 yr , you cannot appear in any other serials on channels NOT owned by Viacom.

Also film giants like YRF and Dharma sign 3 film exclusivity contract with any newcomers they're launching, especially if they're star kids.😆😆

See, there are many variations of this exclusivity contract.

It all depends on the channel and the producer.

An actor can choose to sign it or not.

My mother is a lawyer and I know a bit of this entertainment law fundas.

If Arjun has signed a contract specifying the length of time which is not equal to that particular show in question staying on air, he's liable to be sit around for that remaining time in home if SP isn't able to allot him a show .

And no, if SP is liable to give Arjun a show because of Pardes going off air prematurely, then it don't have to be a Balaji show .

I know I'm sounding like a joke , but unfortunately it's true.

Recently, there was a controversy about actress Shilpa Shinde of Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hain regarding this exclusivity contract issue

Not exactly the same case as being speculated about Arjun, but almost similar.

Cancelling exclusivity contracts aren't that easy .

Star Plus chhodne ka banda nahi hai

They'll probably run a long court case and it's easier for EK to sign a newbie in place of Arjun.

Unless they come to a mutual decision regarding Arjun

And yeah, EK thought that Naagin will work without Arjun.

KV is way more recognised than Arjun

She had planned to run the show in Qubool hai style

I dunno if you think otherwise, but I always felt RoShiv was modeled after Aahil-Sanam.

But that copying flopped and KVB is going out now.

If not then why she allotted Arjun in Pardes?

And pardes wasn't even a finite show

Plus there is this cliffhanger hanging around Ritik so they need to solve that.

So EK probably had adjusted AB'S contract accordingly that pleases both Star and Balaji.

It may sound illogical but that's what I'm hearing.

Ultimately, these are all rumours floating in the Colors office and no one knows the real truth except the top executives of Star Plus,Colors and Balaji and Arjun Bijlani.

Even I really wish this contract thing is untrue.

These exclusivity contracts are really unfortunate things that exist in the TV industry.

Most of these exclusivity contracts also mandate that a TV actor can't leave their shows for atleast the 1st yr of the run.

Maybe these contracts were formulated so that some rogue TV newbie after tasting tremendous success in their shows don't desert the show in search something bigger and so.

But producers and channels both wrongly use these exclusivity contracts to their own advantage to harass actors.

There has been so many incidents in connections to these exclusivity contracts.

See, it's unlikely Arjun signed such stringent contracts.

But it's also 100% true that EK never thought to bring Arjun back in Naagin.

It was not in her plan. She always thought to use him as a Test Case in S1 since not many renowned actors wanted to be a part of Naagin.

After ArNi got super successful, EK planned to hire a top male tv star with a huge fanbase(but not necessarily talented) to replace Arjun as the ML in S2 .

Infact, she made her mind to hire Gurmeet Choudhary even when Arjun was tremendously popular as Ritik Raheja in S1.

When Gurmeet and subsequently many other people rejected Naagin, EK signed KVB.

KVB is a popular actor with a strong fanbase and she thought he'll be accepted in the Naagin franchise in place of Arjun.

But EK never thought that KVB is going to backfire on her in this level.

Now, the rumours are floating that AB might be back in S3.

Honestly, I feel EK isn't going to bring back AB once again.

Probably she has taken RoShiv on her ego.

She's keeping Arjun to throw these little bit of cameos so that people keep anticipating about his return but it'll probably be RoShiv again in the S3.

She just added this illogical twist of Ritik coming back in the last episode to get decent final episode trps.

EK knows we love Arjun.

Naagin S2's ratings wasn't too bad that EK declare KVB as failure, though a major part of Colors employees don't want him back.

So KVB might as well play hero in next Season too.
