I dunno if they ever approached gurmeet or not, but I heard the second season was being planned with gurmeet in the lead and that he would be an icchadhari naag.

Now, in the direction this show is going...looks like Rocky was originally written keeping gurmeet in mind.

Since they couldn't get him or the next option, shakti, they got kvb instead.

Now, I think shakti would've done Rocky the human better than kvb, but for naag, I'm not sure.
