Hey Soup. Long time no hear! :) I have not been in EDKV forum lately, I was too busy. I was traveling overseas and only saw 2 episodes of Naagin 2. But then recently got to see the balance of the episodes and I really enjoyed KV's performance as the tragic fiancee Rocky.
He really is good in the tragic hero style role. I remember how he used to mourn Sanam, and this reminded me of that phase a little bit. Those scenes where he thinks of Shivangi, his sadness is palpable. Especially coz he had to marry again, you can see how painful this is for him. That was well communicated. His toast to his love at the engagement party while Shivangi watches from outside. "Yeh shayam...uss pyaar ke naam!". That was a good scene.I actually really liked the scene when they got tricked into meeting each other by their cousins. In that scene, I realized why I loved watching KV in romantic scenes. He always makes the woman in front of him seem like a Goddess, the only woman in the world. That passion is communicated in his eyes. You can tell this is a man who has experienced love for "Real" and is channeling that experience into his performance. Now the scenes as Shivangi's husband, you can see he feels hesitant and helpless. He knows their equation has changed and he does not want to force the issue. But deep down he is sad that they are not the same Rocky and Shivangi who were getting married that first time. That scene when she peeps through the ghoonghat and he peeps through the Sehera and they play "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" (in their first wedding) was a nice touch and without ANY words they communicated their feelings to each other. So I can imagine why Shivangi can't fathom how that same man can be party to killing her Mother.I think the story is getting a bit more engaging now with the entry of the 3rd angle, and I hope it brings out some more shades of Rocky. At least in Ekta stories, you know the 3rd angle tales are better executed. Even though this show is not "male-centric", I think KV will make Rocky his own and as always give his all to the character. Make him "live" so to speak. Good to see a few old fans here. Mahu especially. (fellow writer), and Aman...(always entertaining)π Lets hope we have a few things to talk about soon!Again, good to comment on your post Chic!

π Any QHians around?
Never thought I'd make a post on Naagin forum!π²I sincerely thought I should skip this one of KV's after the disappointing first two epis. But so surprised and delighted to catch him in the last two epis...π³...Kind of reminding me of ARI(For non QH fans- that was his character in Qubool Hai- my favourite ML on TV till date..even after EkDujeKeVaaste!π)So, I was wondering if any Ahil fans would have gone through the same emotions as me, when I caught Rocky standing near the cliff, mourning Shivangi's death..took me back to ARI's final scene on the cliff- where he was pushed down to his death, right after Sanam. It kind of gave me a feel of how Ahil would have mourned his Sanam's death...Therefore, I guess I started connecting to this story as a rebirth of sorts of that Ahil Raza Ibrahim..π..I know it sounds crazy...But I like Mouni Roy a lot. And the rest of the cast is superb, special mention of Adaa..πAdd to it the WOLVERINE look of Rocky's- and I am in! If he had to be ichhadhaari something, it would be an ichhadhaari wolf, I'd say! ππAnyway, who else is here! π³ Hope the show gets better in the coming weeks!
