Television actress Aakanksha Singh, popularly known as Megha, is playing the role of a dance-teacher in 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2' on Colors.

On this Teacher's Day, TellyBuzz got in touch with the actress, who feels fortunate and blessed to have had good teachers who shaped her life and thoughts!

What is the importance of a teacher in your life?

A teacher plays a very significant role in everybody's life. A teacher is the most valuable person in one's life, and is the one who guides and inspires you. A teacher has a far reaching influence in your life. For me, my Mom is my first teacher. She is the one who gives me advice, takes care of me, shows me the right way, always support me greatly and does many, many things just for me. I love her and really admire her for many reasons.

Do you recall any memories of celebrating Teacher's day, when you were a kid.

When I was a kid, I remember we used to dress like our favorite teacher on Teacher's Day and there were several programs organized within the school. Now as I recall those memories, I really miss being a kid. I'll always cherish that wonderful phase of my life.

Were you a teacher's pet during your school time?

Well, I was not a teacher's pet but all my teachers used to always remember me. I was an above average student and used to get about 75-80%. Moreover, I used to indulge myself a lot in extra curricular activities, so I had my own identity.

Whom do you look up to as a teacher in the acting profession?

I don't really have a particular teacher in this industry. I think every actor be it from television or films, is my source of learning, which helps me to work even more better. Every movie I watch is an acting lesson for me. So be it a senior actor or a kid, I learn from everyone.

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teacher's Day.

Whatever I am today is all because of the right people in my life, by which I mean my family, teachers, friends and well-wishers. However, I would like to mention two people, Bala Saraswati Ma'am (my school Principal) and Shiva Ganesha Sir (my College Principal), both from Jaipur. Of late, I have been trying to contact them but I'm not able to get through them. In fact, I even searched them on all the social networking sites but all my efforts were in vain. I just hope my message reaches them, that I really miss you and wish to meet you both someday. Happy Teacher's day!
