Shaurya and Dia are competing when Ammaji and Joginder, escorted by the principal, come inside the auditorium. Everyone stands up to welcome the chief guests except Amba. She tries to make out who it is by peeping through the crowd. She isn't able to make out much and after sometime, she stops straining herself!
Jhanvi sees Ammaji and she quietly pulls Dia backstage and replaces her.
After the competion gets over, Jhanvi goes backstage and happily announces that they have succeeded in doing the performance without Ammaji noticing them. Dia is relieved but at the same time a little worried but Jhanvi allies her fears. Shaurya sees Dia and appreciates her talent to his friends.
Before the announcement of the results, Ammaji and Joginder are called on stage. As Ammaji and Joginder proceed to go on stage, people around them stand up so Amba is able to see only Ammaji's back. After seeing Ammaji from behind, Amba feels weird and before she is able to have a better look at the woman and before she can analyze her feelings, her phone rings and she goes outside the auditorium to answer the call. It is a call from one of her clients and he says it is important that he should meet her. Amba is forced to go but she feels as if a part of her past has come in front of her. She brushes aside the thoughts saying that it is nothing but a figment of her imagination.
Jhanvi and Shaurya are waiting for the results to be announced. He sees Dia standing inside and misunderstands the situation. He tells Jhanvi that it not right on her part to take all the credit herself. Jhnavi begins to explain but then changes her mind and says that there is no use in explaining the situation to him. The principal announces Jhanvi and group to be winners (Much to Jhanvi and Dia's relief, he forgets Dia's name in the last moment! Lol!) Ammaji distributes the award to Shaurya, the first runner up. He touches her feet and Ammaji is all smiles! Jhanvi is called on stage to collect her award. She too touches Ammaji's feet and Ammaji congragulates her for dancing well and adds that life is not about winning dance competitions but about sanskar. She says that girls should'nt dance like that in front of everyone. When Jhanvi is given an opportunity to say a few words, she says that the award is not only hers but also everyone else's who was a part of her group. She adds that though schools and colleges encourage dance as a form of art, it is a pity that there are some people who don't appreciate it. She says that dance is a very vital part of great epics like Ramayan and Mahabharath and it is a great form of art that has to be appreciated, thus giving Ammaji a befitting answer!
Jhanvi hands Dia her trophy and the group celebrates. Shaurya realizes his fault and apologises to Jhanvi for whatever he said to her earlier. He congratulates Dia and says that despite her situation at home, she has been successful in realizing her dreams.
Chanda and Santosh are worried as there is no news from Dia. Just then Karan brings Dia home and Chanda and Santosh rush to meet her. They ask her what happened, but without replying, Dia goes inside. This worries the two all the more and they ask Karan what happened. He says that Dia has not told anything to him either and by the look of it, it seems that there is a problem. Santosh and Chanda are more worried and they rush inside to speak to Dia. Karan smiles smugly!
Amba, Jhanvi and Alak celebrate Jhanvi's victory. Jhanvi narrates to Amba all that happened in college. Amba keeps quite and is drawn in all the while. She asks Jhanvi who the chief guests were and Jhanvi replies that it was Dia's Gabbar Singh Dadi. Amba admonishes her for talking rudely about a woman who is old enough to be her grand mother. Amba says that after seeing Dia's grandmom, she feels as if a part of her past has come before her. She resolves to meet Dia's grandmother.
