Ammaji and Joginder are welcomed by the principal and other college authorities. They are escorted by the principal to tea and snaks and Amba occupies a seat among the audience. ViDia and troop perform after which Shaurya and co are called on stage. He dances to the title track of "Bachna Ae Haseeno". Jhanvi cheers for him and Dia glares at Jhanvi but secretly she enjoys his performance.
Both the performances are well received by the audience and they give them both a standing ovation. The compere announces that for the first in history, there has been a tie between two groups from the same college and that they have to do an encore which would serve as the tie breaker.
Santosh and Chanda pray to God to help and safegaurd Dia from Ammaji. Just then, Chanda reminds Santosh to call up Jhanvi and and inform Dia. Santosh calls up Jhanvi and asks her to put her through Dia. She informs Dia that Ammaji and Joginder are coming to the college to attend the fest. She asks her to take care of herself.
Dia is shell shocked and she collapses onto a sofa. On enquiring, she confides in Jhanvi and tells her that her dance performance is important but it is not all that important to risk her future and put her education on the rocks. Jhanvi is heart broken and she feels the tears in her eyes and is surprised at them. Just then Shaurya comes in and boosts Dia's confidence. He reminds her of ' RJ Shaurya's' words on courage and advices her to be courageous. He hands her a handkerchief and says that tears dont suit her. He wishes her luck and goes away. Dia is still upset and she takes a photograph of her parents and asks them what she is to do. She says she cannot let down Jhanvi as she has done so much for her. A despondant Jhanvi packs up when Dia stops her says that she would perform and not worry about the future. Jhanvi is releived and the group cheers for Dia.
Ammaji. Jogined and the principal are in a room having tea. Ammaji remind him that they are there to see the college fest. The absent minded principal escorts Ammaji and Joginder to the auditorium. Dia and Shuarya are competing when Ammaji and Joginder come in. At that particular moment Amba's phone choose to ring and Jhanvi notices Ammaji and stands transfixed.
PRECAP- Ammaji orders Jhanvi not to call up home again. Amba, after confirming with Jhanvi that the woman on the other end is indeed Dia's grand mother, she takes the receiver from Jhanvi and talks to Ammaji.
