Tanisha looks at the imposition in Dia's room and asks whether she has written it herself.Santosh, Chanda and Dia feel awkward are at a loss for words when Tanisha exclaims that it is very beautifully written. Santosh, Chanda and Dia are shocked and Tanisha explains that since she was born and borought up in America, she only knows to speak Hindi and that she cannot read and write in Hindi. Everyone is relieved and Santosh and Chanda excuse themselves and go to the kitchen. Tanisha tells Dia that although she wanted to come for her marriage, she couldn't because she din't get the flight tickets. She then remembers that Dia marriage did not take place and says that everything happens for the good and it's good that the guy's truth was brought out in the open before marriage. She tells her that God will definitely send her someone better.
Jhanvi calls up Dia and asks her if she's going to college. When Dia answers positively, Jhanvi gets excited and decides to cancel her French leave and go to college instead and informs Amba about her change of plans.
Rajveer gives Dia a lift to college. He is his usual irritated self and grumbles because he has to drop her at college. He asks her why she couldn't tell him about the Sunder guy before hand. Meanwhile, one of his girl friends calls him up and he asks her to go to college by cycle rickshaw.
Dia is commuting by rickshaw with her duppata touching the wheel. A guy on a motor bike with helmet notices this and overtakes the rickshaw and halts before it. Dia is reminded of Sunder and she gets scared. The guy gets off his bike without removing his helmet. He walks towards her, removes the duppata from the wheel and gives it to her. Without a word, he gets on his bike and rides away.
Classes are going on and Dia is listening to the lectures with concentration and taking down notes. Jhanvi is bored and tries to communicate with Dia through writing. She is curious to know how her grandmother allowed her to come to college and she asks this in writing. Dia writes that she would tell her later. The professor observes this asks Jhanvi some questions which she is unable to answer. The professor then asks Dia the same question to which she replies. The professor is about to chuck Jhanvi out of the class when the bell rings indicating the end of the period.
Ammaji, Joginder and Gajender are discussing what can be done with the land that Karan has got back. Karan is standing listening to their conversation. Gajender praises Karan for getting back the land. Avtar joins them and tell everyone about a success in his business which wouldn't have been possible without Karan's help. Ammaji tells that every house should have a son like him. Karan and Santosh who are listening to this feel very happy. Then Ammaji continues that ever since Adi has come home everything is going very smoothly. This upsets Karan and Santosh.
Avtaar suggests that since they havnt celebrated any function at home for many years, they should celebrate Lohri grandly. Everyone agrees to it when Adi comes with Tanisha and says that he is going to take her out for sometime. Gajender gives him permission but asks him to come back early for Lohri celebrations. Tanisha asks what Lohri is and Gajender tries to explain to her in his broken English.When Tanisha does not understand, Adi tells her there would be a fire around which everyone would dance. Tanisha gets excited at the prospect of dancing and kisses Adi in the excitement leaving Ammaji&co shell shocked!
PRECAP- Lohri celebrations are go on in full swing. Tanisha dances around the fire when her duppata falls down to reveal a backless choli. Ammaji&co are again shocked!
