Sunder is nursing his bruised hand.His friends asks him why he is behind that girl when he can get anyone in the whole of Delhi.Sunder says that though it is true,he has to get his hands on Dia atleast once since he has set his eyes on her.He swears that now he'll not let go off her karate friend either and that he'll ensure that she too gets a "sunder"punishment from Sunder.
Dia and Janvi are writing in their diaries.
Dia writes that since the first time she has seen Janvi she likes her a lot.She writes that she was ment to be meek and docile because only then could she have met Janvi.She wonders what the latter would be thinking of her and whether she would be thinkining about her at all.
Janvi writes that this is the first time she has felt a sense of belonging with anyone.She writes as to why Dia is the way she is-always meek and scared.She feels that having a mother does make a difference as it was her mother who taught her that girls are no less than guys.She wonders what Dia would be doing at that of the night and she deceids to call up and find out.
The phone rings in Dia's room and when she picks it up Sunder answers.He talks a lot of stuff and nonsense and says that he waiting for her in the backyard of the house of asks her to come and meet her in a minute and if she doesnt turn up by then he himself would come and create a scene.Dia pleads with him and says its really not possible for her to meet him at that time of the day.He refuses to listen to her and cuts the call.Dia gets very scared at the thought of him coming home and creating a scene.She musters up courage and tries to sneak out of the house.Just as she reaches the hall,Ammaji comes in,sits on the sofa and switches on the TV.Dia takes another route and climbs down a flight of stairs when she sees Yaspal dozing off on his cair with his legs outstretched on the stairs.Dia gets preplexed and cautiously tries to cross his legs and go.Just then her duppata knocks down his tumbler.Yashpal wakes up and she hides behind a tree.Yashpal looks around but doesnot find anyone.He hears a cat mew and he assume that it must have been the cat that knocked his tumbler.He replaces it and goes back to sleep.
Dia searches for Sunder but he pulls her and takes her behind a wall to talk to her.He warns her that she should talk to her family and get the marriage cancelled otherwise he would definately do something to her so that she cant even show her face to the world.After hearing this,Dia runs away.
Ammaji is having her tea and reading the newspaper when Gajender comes down the stairs.He is talking to Adi over the phone and talks to him about this and that.After cutting the call,he tells Ammaji that it was Adi.She says there is no need for him to tell that because he was talking so loudly and if he had spoken a little louder,his voice would have reached America itself and that way they could have atleast cut down on the telephone bills.
Gajender tells her that Adi would try his best to come home for Dia's engagement but it would be difficult since he is not able to get tickets.Gajender asks Ammaji where was the need to have the engagement so early.He tells her that she ought to have had it a little later so that Adi would not have to face this difficulty.Ammaji replies that it wasnt her fault that the engagement was to be held this early and that it was the pundit who had said that that was the only shubh day and there wasnt another one in a long time.Gajender agrees with Ammaji and says that the sooner they get Dia out of the house the better it will be for the house.
SC,Santosh and Chanda are sitting in SC's room discussing about the engagement.Santosh selects a saree for Dia and SC says it will be very becoming on Dia.Santosh feels bad that Dia is getting married so soon.She feels that Ammaji is doing this only to get her out of the house as soon as possible.SC says that once Dia goes out of the house,it will be Ammaji who'll miss her the most as Dia is the one who does most of her work.Santosh feels it that it would have been very good had Sia been alive to see this day.She says that to get everything arranged for a daughter's marriage is the biggest gift for any mother.Chanda says that it is not so only for the mother but for a father too.She reminds them that Raghav was the one who was looking forward to his daughters more than Sia and had he been alive,he would have made heaven and earth one.
Sc remenbers the time when Raghav was a little boy.She says that he used to be so naughty that she often used to tell him that one day she would tell his children all the michief that he used to do as a kid.Tears come to her eyes at the thought.She remembers the day when Raghav married Sia and brought her home and breaks down at the thought.Chanda says it would have been so good had RaSia been alive that day so that Dia would not have to face all the torture that Ammaji is meting out at her.SC says that now there is no use in talikng about things that arnt going to happen.She feels that it is good that Dia's twin died as soon as she was born because otherwise she too would have had to face the same fate as Dia.
Just then the phone rings and SC picks up the call.Someone at the other end says "namaste"and SC feels it is Sia and she gets emotional.
PRECAP-Dia is brought down for her engagement when Sunder comes inside the house with a policeman and says that this engagement cannot take place as Dia is his.
