Drunk gaji comes out of his room faltering , hits himself against a sofa and passes out on the sofa.Battered sunehri comes out of the room and is seen walking in a daze towards the kitchen by chanda.chanda tries to ask sunehri what the reason is but sunehri walks inthe kitchen ,pours kerosene over herself and tries to immolate herself only to be seen by chanda.chanda raises an alarm and entire heili members come to the kitchen with raghav pulling out the match box out sunehri's hand .sia tries to comfort sunehri with ammaji wanting to know what the issue is and raghav tells her that sunehri tried to commit suicide.sia sees the battered state of sunehri and understands the situation.she tells everybody to go out so that she could talk to sunehri.DV keeps asking what the issue is but is asked to go out by sia.everybody leaves and raghav finds gaji on the sofa .he tries to wake him up and is disgusted at him,sia brings sunehri out and asks raghav to get the car.ammaji asks her where she is going at that time of the night.sia tells them that she is going to the police station as sunehri wants to compalin against her husband.ammaji wants details as to what gaji has done.sia is ashamed to say all those in public but is forced to say that gaji has assaulted sunheri.ammaji is shocked as are the other members of the family.raghav is enraged and ammaji tells sia that this is the matter that should be resolved between husband - wife and a third person should not interfere in it.sia tells ammaji that not only sunehri has been physically assaulted but also mentally and emotionally abused.aditya comes out of his room and cries for sunehri only to be pacified by santosh and taken back to his room.she continues that even in a husband-wife relationship this battering and taking her against her will amounts to rape.ammaji is shocked to hear her words.she calls sunehri to her room so that she could have a private word with her.
