GEC watch: STAR Plus adds 56 GRPs; Zee TV loses 48

STAR Plus has benefitted from the telecast of the 16th STAR Screen Awards, which finds a place in the Top 10 GEC programmes with a TVR of 6.6.
Zee TV is in the third position with 261 GRPs and a channel share of 19 per cent. In Week 5, it had registered 309 GRPs and a relative channel share (at par with that of Colors) of 23 per cent. This week, the channel has lost 48 GRPs.
Sony has maintained its fourth position by holding on to its share of 12 per cent. It has recorded 169 GRPs this week.
At No. 5, NDTV Imagine has registered growth in Week 6 with 104 GRPs. It has added 14 GRPs this week in comparison to Week 5. Its channel share has increased from 7 per cent to 8 per cent in Week 6.
SAB, at No. 6, has maintained its channel share of 6 per cent in Week 6 as well, scoring 82 GRPs.
STAR One has garnered a channel share of 3 per cent in Week 6, followed by Sahara One and DD1 with channel shares of 2 per cent each. Both STAR Utsav and 9X have channel shares of 1 per cent each.
Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV tops the list of the most watched shows on GECs, garnering a TVR of 7. Both Uttaran on Colors and 16th STAR Screen Awards on STAR Plus have delivered TVRs of 6.6.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on STAR Plus, with a TVR of 6.5, is the No. 4 show in the list of Top 10 programmes on GECs. Balika Vadhu is at No. 5, with a TVR of 5.8.The other programmes featuring in the Top 10 list in Week 6 include Na Aana Is Des Lado, Bhagyavidhaata, Bidaai, Dance India Dance Season 2 and Jhansi Ki Rani.
