GEC Watch: Colors records its highest-ever GRPs; STAR Plus, Imagine and SAB grow

The channel has garnered 26 per cent (C&S, 4+, HSM) share of the overall GEC pie in Week 4, as per TAM Media Research data. In week 3, its share was 24 per cent. Colors' new show, National Bingo Night earned a TVR of 5.1.
STAR Plus, which is at No. 2, has increased its share to 21 per cent in the latest week. The channel has added 34 GRPs from last week and currently has 293 GRPs.
Zee, at No. 3, has garnered 264 GRPs. Its share has declined marginally to 19 per cent in Week 4, from 20 per cent in the previous week. Sony's share has remained unchanged at 11 per cent in the third and fourth week. The No. 4 channel's GRPs stand at 156.
NDTV Imagine, at No. 5, has added 29 GRPs in Week 4. Its relative share has increased to 8 per cent. SAB, too, has increased its share to 7 per cent. From 73 GRPs in Week 3, it now commands 92 GRPs.
STAR One has garnered 3 per cent share, followed by DD1 and Sahara One, which have earned 2 per cent each. STAR Utsav and 9X have garnered 1 per cent share each.
Among the top ten programmes, Na Aana Is Des Laado on Colors is the most watched programme recording a TVR of 7.7, followed by Uttaran, which has recorded 7.5 TVR. At No. 3 is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai with a TVR of 6.8; followed by Pavitra Rishta with 6.4 TVR. Dance India Dance is at No. 5 with a TVR of 5.9.
The other shows among the top 10 are: Balika Vadhu, Bidaai, National Bingo Night, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Jhansi Ki Rani.
