That night Dharmaveer Singh crept out of the haveli and went to meet the snake charmer. Gajender who had suspected him of being up to some fishy business followed. The snake charmer gave him the poison and showed how poisonous it is by placing a drop of it on a leaf which was instantly burnt. When the snake charmer gave the bottle of poison to him Dharmaveer Singh killed him by dropping some of the poison in hi mouth. Gajender who had seen this from behind the trees was shocked on knowing the enormity of crime his chacha was plotting against Ammaji. When Dharmaveer Singh tiptoed back to the house he tripped and the bottle of poison slipped out of his pocket under the chair. When bent to pick it up Ammaji came there and said "Sharam ke mare dharti ke andar ghusne ka irada hai kya? Itni pita hai ki koi tujeh katega to khoon ki jagah daru bahega. Jaanti hoon bahut mehnat karke aya hai raat ko jakar apne kamre main so ja." Dharmaveer Singh rushed to him room and planned how he would kill Ammaji. This is when Jhoomer came in to meet him. He called her to him. Jhoomer said "Aapko jab Ammaji aise sunati hai mujhe bahut bura lagta hai." Dharmaveer Singh said he felt the same about her and added "tumhe tumhara hak dilana hai thoda sehna to padega na." He then told Jhoomer he had quit drinking for her. Jhoomer said she was really happy. He said they would now have to do something to win Ammaji's trust. He told her to make Ammaji's favorite dish the following day. Gajender heard this and guessed what Dharmaveer was planning to do and went to tell his wife.
The next day Santosh saw Sia smile and asked what made her so happy. Sia said she had seen Jhoomer so happy after a long time. Santosh said a mother nature had tuned a woman to withstand the various upheavals of life be it extreme pain or torture a woman could bear it all.
Sunheri was amazed when she heard what Gajender told her about Dharmaveer Singh's plan and said "Sharab main doobe rehne wala insaan itna zehrila ho sakta hai soch bhi nai sakte." Gajender said since he was going to give the poison through Jhoomer nobody would suspect anything.
Jhoomer went to the kitchen to make the halwa. When it was ready she served the plates with her mother. Dharmaveer Singh came in and sent Sheela to get water for him and silently mixed the poison in Ammaji's food when nobody was looking. Santosh came in and said the pandit had arrived and Ammaji would not have her lunch immediately. Out in the living room when Ammaji asked him to predict her coming days he stammered and said "aane wala mahina bahut bhari hai aapar mahakal ka yog ho raha hai usse aapko khatra hai aapke shareer par vaar hoga." Ammaji's sons silenced him and asked him to go away. Ammaji said "Aadmi ka bhaag uske chand tare nai uske karm the karte hain
