Rupa and Bansi find somewhere to hide while Joginder, Yashpal and the rest of Ammaji's men try to look for them. Bansi tells Rupa that they should head to the nearest temple and get married. Once they're married, nobody will be able to tear them apart. Rupa is thrilled and agrees to the idea.
Ammaji asks Jhumar if she knew beforehand about the Bansi-Rupa affair, since she and Rupa are such good friends. Jhumar remembers the flashback where she saw the couple together. Then she denies knowing anything. Sheela adds that Jhumar respects Ammaji a lot and if she did know about the affair, she would surely have told her. Ammaji warns that if she finds out later that Jhumar knew about it, she won't let Jhumar off the hook.
Bansi and Rupa arrive at a temple and ask the priest to wed them. He complies. They begin to take the pheras. Right when they're about to start the seventh one, Ammaji's men arrive on the scene. Joginder insults the priest and asks how dare he get them married. The priest begs him to let the couple get married - it's not up to them to decide what's wrong and right - that's what God is for. Joginder ignores him and all the men forcefully take Bansi and Rupa away.
They arrive at the backyard of Ammaji's haveli. Sia and Jhumar are present on the scene. Bansi pleads with Ammaji, asking her to let him marry Rupa because they're in love and aren't committing a sin. Rupa joins in and both fall at her feet. Ammaji says that they don't know what a despicable act they've committed by eloping together. They put Veerpur's honor at stake since they are from the same gotra. No love is greater than honour. Love stories are better suited for movies. Bansi says that they'll leave the village and go far away to avoid facing taunts and humiliation from people. Rupa begs for forgiveness. Then Bansi and Rupa's families ask Ammaji to forgive them and let them unite. After some more chaos, finally Ammaji relents and tells the two of them to meet her at the nearest temple by 4 am the next morning. She will get them married and drop them off at the outskirts of the village. They can go wherever they want after that but don't they dare show their faces in Veerpur again!
Ammaji's change of mind thrills everyone. Bansi and Rupa fall at Ammaji's feet once again and thank her endlessly. She brushes them off and says that she has already spared their lives - why are they still begging and pleading? Then she adds that Rupa will stay at the haveli until the wedding. Ammaji will take her to the temple, where Bansi will arrive with his family.

Now she and Bansi won't have to fear anyone. They'll move away and start life afresh. Sia brings food and some light-hearted dialogues follow between the three women. Later, Sia tells Sheela and Santosh that she finds something fishy with Ammaji's instant change of heart. How could she change her mind so fast? Sheela agrees, adding that when it comes to the village's honour Ammaji doesn't care about anyone. Santosh says that they'll find out tomorrow what's going on in Ammaji's mind.

They walk a short distance and then Ammaji says very solemnly, "Here is your Rupa." She points at Rupa's dead body, hanging from a tree's branch with a rope around her neck. She's dressed up in her bridal attire. Bansi yells her name out while his parents look taken aback and disturbed by the sight. Ammaji and Joginder stand there looking cold and the episode ends.
