Ammaji talks to herself. She says that she had been maintaining her honor efficiently all along, until the DM's antics put it in jeopardy. Then Sheela made matters worse. Now, Ammaji has to do something to restore the prestige and honor associated with her haveli. Ever since she started reigning over Veerpur, only she has dominated it. And as long as she is alive, only she will rule. There never has, nor will ever be, anyone out there who can stand against her. And if by chance, such a person does dare to come into the picture, she knows how to make sure he or she isn't able to sustain their stand for long.
DM's men have kidnapped someone (this guy was shown in one of the previous episodes, but I might have missed it because I don't recall who he is - I guess a farmer or something). DM shows up where the guy is being held hostage and blackmails him to testify against Ammaji in court. The guy, who is helpless, agrees to it and begs DM to let him go. After he is freed, DM smirks and says that Ammaji will now have to pay a huge price for what she did to him. The land that she's ruling over is the same land on which she'll fall flat on her face.
Dheeraj is working on the accounts in his room when Jhumar comes in with a tray. He thinks she brought tea and says he isn't up for it. She replies that she has brought him milk and almonds because he needs those to keep his mind sharp. He thanks her for taking such good care of him. She looks at his work and points out that his handwriting is very beautiful and neat. He writes to fast and so well! He asks if she can write. When she denies it he offers to teach her to read and write, at which her face lights up completely. He makes her sit beside his bed and then teaches her to hold the pen correctly. Suddenly her face falls and she puts the pen down. She tells him that he doesn't have to waste his time - sooner or later Ammaji will get her married and then she will have to let go of the pen forever. Why bother forming a bond that won't last. Dheeraj says that nobody can take away from you what you have learned. Knowledge never goes to waste. You never know when you might need it. It's an unbreakable bond. As long as she is in the haveli, she can learn anything she wants. He will teach her. She smiles at his words, takes the pen and is all set to write. He wants to start with her name, but she suggests starting with God's name instead. He begins teaching her to write Shri Ram. She writes very enthusiastically and intently.
The priest shows Ammaji a man's photograph. He says that the man is virtuous and belongs to a good family. However, he is 35 years old and hence too old for Jhumar. Ammaji retorts that he's 35, not lying on his deathbed. So what if there's an age difference. She calls everyone out in the hall. When they've all assembled, she delivers the "good" news - Jhumar's rishta has been fixed. Everyone is shocked. Ammaji says that the guy is good, belongs to a good family and runs a successful business. He and his family are arriving the next day to see Jhumar. Sheela happily exclaims that she's glad to hear that. May god bless Jhumar with a good life ahead. Ammaji tells her to ensure Jhumar is well dressed and adorned when they arrive tomorrow. Meanwhile, Jhumar looks disappointed. Everyone goes inside.
Gajender enters the hall, looking tired and worn out. Ammaji says that he's trying to show off how hard he has worked. There's no need to show her anything, she knows what's going on around the house. When he leaves, Raghav says that the guy they've picked for Jhumar is too old for her and it wouldn't be right to marry her off to him. Such a wide age gap isn't a good thing. Both Joginder and Ammaji throw him looks. The episode ends.
