Discussion: Is Ammaji bad?

Na Aana Is Des Laado, the story about a village in India, Veerpur, where the main head, Ammaji, is against girls being born and so commands the village to kill baby girls as soon as they are born. This is obviously not legal or a good deed, but totally the opposite.

But the real question is, is it really Ammaji who is the bad one? Or is it not the one who actually kills the baby girl for example, by drowning her in milk or giving her a piece of glass to eat? Personally I have recently heard that the real guilty culprit is the one who has the feelings to commit and evil act first and it is not the one that commits the evil act. The one who commits the evil act could be doing so forcefully or can just be following orders or their duties. So is Ammaji the bad oneor the one who actually kills the baby, who potentially could stand up to Ammaji and save the baby girl?

Also, we can't just look at things from one point of view. So, can't Ammaji be explained then? I think so. Ammaji was probably grown up to believe that female infanticide should happen and must be continued. She was probably socialised into thinking this. A very simple example of this socialisation process, is the way most people are brought up to believe in God and not to do anything bad. Is there any other ways Ammaji can be explained? Also, as above mentioned, the real guilty culprit is the one who has the feelings to commit and evil act first and it is not the one that commits the evil act, so does that make those who raised Ammaji worse?

Ammaji also uses the boys in her family to aid her in all of her bad deeds. She almost controls everyone and can be compared to people like Hitler. What are your views on this? Is controlling people a good thing or a bad thing?

Do you think the whole idea of female infanticide can be justified through means of religious practices or beliefs? Can it also justify sacrificing any kind of living organism, but mainly humans of any age?

Lastly, I'm not trying to say Ammaji is good, just for you to look at the other side of the coin and that Ammaji can represent those heads of the villages in which this actually happens. Of course this is a bad thing, but if you have been brought up to see bad things as being good, then this is very very harmful.

These are just a few of the questions that come out of Na Aana Is Des Laado. But thankfully, it is only a serial to make us aware of real-life. Also, Sia, our main protagonist has also arrived to hopefully end Ammaji's "regime".

Women have been since ages portrayed as the "Child generating machines" in this cruel Man's world
😑 😑

The belief in that village is that only males can take the name of the family ahead and hence a female child is never welcome

And as stated above by me regarding the only utility of women there,
If they are unable to solve that purpose, i.e. , if they are unable to give a male child to the family, they are treated with utmost disrespect and cruelty as shown here in the show πŸ˜•

But we see the converse to be true too
The lady who gave birth to a son was treated with great love by Ammaji πŸ˜†

It is not that she hates women 🀒

She thinks Men are superior an women should abide by them and the woman who doesn't is treated badly by her

She is a widow now and I think she is only following strictly whatever instructions her husband might've given her, 😲

But I don't understand how she herself breaks all the rules she has framed for the other women in the Village 😑 😑

So then doesn't she view herself as a child-generating machine? Is she too not a woman that could have given birth to a girl or a Lakshmi as they are more commonly called or Laado?

Also, If men are superior, why is she the head of the village? Shouldn't she put her Son in front but then control him behind everyone?

And about breaking rules, she is the head so she can decide to break rules or make them.... By framing other people, she moves the spotlight from her bad-doings onto someone else..... right?

By the way, I'm not trying to argue, I'm just trying to get this discussion to go somewhere!

Even I m trying to find the answer to the question

And to add to that
Why do the villagers accept her dominance???😲 😲
Even that is a prime question

Currently
She is treating Sia so nicely and has even forgiven Chanda
I am wondering what is going on in her mind and what are her plans

I hope amma begins to question her basic dogmas and begins to support siya in her "education" of the village. It is time for some sense.

I doubt it! I haven't seen the track from where Sia gets married (still watching the end of april episodes) and I don't think Ammaji will cool down, she'll just carry on but in a different more "nicer" ways continuing female infanticide!

I feel there is something fishy going on......On the day of reception Raghav was missing & Sia was shown talking to Jai (Raghav's Friend) for which Ammaji's reactions were ????????????????
Something is wrong.....I think, Raghav, Jai both are involved in Ammaji's 😈 😈 😈 serious plan to torture Sia😭
Also i would like to request to update the daily episode's written update on regular basis, so that if any one has missed out the same can atleast read it.
