Just LOVED the beginning few lines he sang (the portion he sang without a beat). His hold on the notes was divine and I was tempted to give the song a ten for just that part! I don't think these words have expressed how much I liked that part...
But the song got slightly more pedestrian after that point. And when I say pedestrian, I mean pedestrian by Shankarji's standards, not by the standards of an
aam singer.
"Nine on ten. And there's no way Shankarji can be kicked out of the competition after this song."EDIT: That was WAYY too presumptuous of me! KK's song has raised the bar of this contest much higher - the kind of expression KK brought into his song is exemplary and now I'm having second thoughts about giving Shankarji a nine on ten for this song. Soo confused 😕
FINAL SCORE: OK after some deliberation, I'm sticking with 9/10 for this song. In case risingabove ends up with another KK-Shankar tie, I would like my score to be reduced to 8.5 for Shankarji and increased to 9.5 for KK. 😊
TRIVIA: Although Shankar Ehsaan Loy composed the music for Mission Kashmir, they didnt do it collaboratively as such. Each of them composed a few songs on his own. So, Loy was the composer of Rind Posh Maal. 😊
Now to Uditji. I'll go for 'Socho Ke Jheelon' from the same movie. Composed by Ehsaan, lyrics by Rahat Indori (thanks to Brahmabul for the info)
