Its our 60th Independence Day... a secular occasion for all Indians…a day when we remember the unconditional sacrifices made by our brave Indian heroes. With the D-day round the corner, some of our telestars share their childhood memories, their plans for the day and what patriotism means to them. Abhijeet Bhattacharya I will attend the Independence Day ceremony at Utpal Sanghvi School as my kids are participating in it. I feel that we are still not independent. Earlier we were ruled by Britishers and now by politicians. In school, I was never keen on participating in any ceremonies so Independence Day was no exception. I used to just attend the flag hoisting ceremony after which we all kids used to get sweets.
Patriotism: It is love and loyalty to one's country. Message for the nation: Respect your country.
