Idk. I watched it once and I'd prefer forgetting the experience altogether.
Raj Kapoor's character makes me wanna puke.
I agree. One of the worst.
And one similar movie already was there called Aadmi by Dilip Kumar, Manoj Kumar and Waheeda, no?
One of his few colored movies (& flat-haired Dev) I loved.Originally posted by: Wistfulness

Talk about being underrated.

Wait Guide did win for Best Actor and Best Actress and Best direction. That was 1967 I think
Lol. So they gave them the awards in 1967 after the backlash or something? I mean the movie came in 1965 right?
These are the awards it received or got nominated for.
Yeah it's weird. Cos Fali Mistry won for cinematography in 1965, R.K. Narayan won for best story in 1966. And then it swept all the major awards in 1967 (except for music)Originally posted by: 1t1svat1t1s

Yeah I haven't watched Aadmi but I believe it's similar. It came out after Sangam though.Originally posted by: 1t1svat1t1s

Dev Anand films have easily aged the best because they would always contain something that was a trendsetter or progressive, far ahead of times.
In today's numerous newspaper articles dedicated to Dev Anand, I read Shabana Azmi mentioning Kala Bazar for giving its heroine the freedom to choose between two suitors. It was such a mature take on adult relationships.
