Karan Goddwani born on 26 March 1988) is an Indian Television actor and dancer known for roles in television programmes such as Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Jugni Chali Jalandhar.
Personal life
Karan was born and raised in Spain, and also received his schooling there. He moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra to pursue an acting career.
Career
An audio engineer by profession, Karan started dancing after he moved to Mumbai. He then started training under and later instructed for famous Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar. He appeared in various advertisements for companies including 7UP, early in his career.
Karan began his acting career in 2008. Karan made his television debut in the SAB TV comedy Jugni Chali Jalandhar, as the male lead, Vikramjeet 'Vicky' Bhalla, a NRI boy who marries and later falls in love with the female protagonist, Jugni.[2] The show ran from 2008-2010, completing a total of 330 episodes.
After Jugni Chali Jalandhar, Karan played the cameo role of a free-spirited casanova in STAR One's Rang Badalti Odhani. His character first falls in love with the female protagonist, Khanak but later falls for Simran. He played this role until the end of the show.
His next role was as Shankar in Zee TV's Sanjog Se Bani Sangini. He played a simple small town boy and dreams of getting married to his childhood friend, the female protagonist, Gauri.
He then entered STAR Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? as NK. The show has also consistently maintained a position as one of the top ten daily dramas on Indian general entertainment channels.[3] His role was as the cousin of the male protagonist. He becomes best friends with the female protagonist Khushi (Sanaya Irani), and causes some jealousy from the male protagonist, Arnav (Barun Sobti). His character abruptly exited the show after the forced marriage of the protagonists. However, due to public demand, Karan returned back to Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? in June and continued to play NK until the last day of the show.
His next role came in the Colors thriller Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat as the antagonist, Ranveer Jaiswal, the younger brother of protagonist, Kabir Jaiswal (Avinesh Rekhi).
He is currently essaying the role of Johnny, a Jinn, in the show jeannie Aur Juju on SAB TV. Now he's playing a role opp. to Gaurav Gera in Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal in Colors TV.
