Anchor - Mohit Sehgal is an Indian television actor. He is best known for his role of Samrat Shergill in the Indian television series. Mohit receives birthday & 1st anniversary gifts from fans.

Mohit - Hi guys!! Hi everyone!!

Anchor - Most awaited gift segment from you...

Mohit - I know it was most awaited & I am really sorry for keeping on hold ... we actually just shifted... me & Sanaya just shifted house, so, it was just taking time & we were not in town also, so that's why it just got delayed. So, I am sorry...

Anchor - And it's a single interview... it's not a joint interview , just tell them...

Mohit - Ok, guys, Sanaya is not here & if you are wondering why she is not here, she is not here, she has gone for some work, so that's why she couldn't be with me in this interview, but next time I am sure... you know... I promise she'll be there... together...

Mohit - Yeah I am ready, but guys, you don't have to send all these... me & Sanaya keep saying this thing that you don't have to send gifts. Your wishes are enough for me. So... but I will still accept because you have given this with so much love. So I'll start with it...

Anchor - So these can be joint gifts also. These are your anniversary & birthday gifts.

(He unwraps the gift, reads on the box) Elanza!! he sent me Elanza... that's your gift... Oh, it's a bike!! I don't have a bike, so thank you for this bike...(shows us the gift) Oh, it's a wall clock!! Wow!! We just shifted our house & we were thinking of buying some watch.. uh, clock... so, this is a cute clock... thank you!! Thank You Praneel for this lovely bike. Thank You.

Ok, so there is a stand also, but let me see where I will put this... (shows us the back of the clock) there's this thing to hang also, so let's see. It's a nice clock. Thank you, so sweet!!

(After unwrapping the gift) This is a watch. I have so many watches. But thank you. 1 more in collection. (takes out the watch) Hooo, this is so cute!! Wow!! I really like this watch. I am a fan of watches, so , I like, keep collecting watches. Even though I don't wear but I will still collect it.

So, this is one more watch in my collection. Thank you!! This is actually very sweet & lovely color. I love black. I am wearing one, so, this is very cute. Thank you!! Thank you both of you.

Ok, & here goes your card... I find cards very sweet, you know, someone... they write from their heart & wishes & all that. So I really like.

In my childhood my sister used to give lot of cards to me on my birthday. So it reminds me of my sister. So, thank you... so it says (reads) Happy Birthday Mohit Sehgal. And when I open this (shows us a card which has his sketch ) Oh, ok... (tries to read) Done by... what is that?? Ok, there's lot written.

VM's...oh... wow... wow...I'll always keep this with me. I really wanted to see all my VM's but on YT you can't see now, I think because they have deleted all the videos & VM's.

I used to keep searching... you know, reminiscing the old days, it is fun. Sometimes you want to watch,you know, old episodes or you know, your VM's, so this is here, right with me. So both of us can watch, me & Sanaya. Thank you...thank you...

Wow... well... a painting... nice... (points to a part of his face in the painting) I am looking just a wee bit weird here, but it's a good attempt. Like, I know this picture, you know, from our wedding... yeah... it looked actually like this... outfits also same color... same head gear (Pagadi) ...but, because of the beard, I am looking like a sardar (A sikh who keeps a beard) ... but, it's a good attempt... very nice, Suparna. Good job.

Ok, oh, turtle...yeah. I have one, but I will replace that with yours. I have the same one, exactly. It's lying there. But I will replace that turtle, because it has become old, so... & you know you put it in water & then it has those marks on it,so it has become old, so I can keep your turtle now. new turtle... aww, so cute.

For luck, right?? For good luck, yeah. So I was reading that day about turtle, where to keep it, where not to keep it & what to do, so, they say, the best direction you keep turtles, crystal turtles... there are metal turtles... you know, different, different...so, northwest is the right side, I think, they say that you should keep, so I will keep it over there. Thank you. (he kisses the turtle as he keeps it away)

(Unwraps the next gift) And this is obviously a plate for turtle. Oh... (the anchor says something which is not audible to which Mohit replies) no,no, this is a plate for turtle... yeah... ok... can I just show you exactly same... exactly everything same... ok, let me just show... (he gets up to get the old turtle & shows us)

Guys, this has become old, same turtle, same plate , everything same, but I can give this away & I can keep this new plate & new turtle in my house. (holding the new turtle and new plate in his hand) so thank you, thank you so much.

Mohit - No, this is separate... this is a pen & this is something for kitchen only I guess... yeah, ok... so sweet, thank you... there are 2 of these... thank you... & this is a very cute pen, yaar... I think hand made... something. But very cute. Thank you... handmade stuff. I like hand made stuff.

Anchor - This is for sure Sanaya's.

Mohit - Yeah... yeah.. (shows us) a small purse. Thank you. Cute!! very nice. Thank you... (Opens the next gift) & what is that (takes out a small idol of Lord Ganesh) Ganu... my baby's favorite & my favorite too, Ganu. For Sanaya's I think... for Sanaya's car, I think, she'll put it.Ok & we have to keep it carefully, our Ganu.

(opens next gift) & what is this?? Lenses!! Sanaya will kill me if I wear these. She hates people wearing lenses. But these are nice. I can use, maybe in my show...people want me to wear, if it's required. You know,so I can wear... purple!! I will give it to Sanaya... let me see how she looks in these purple lenses. And blue for me... maybe... yeah...ok...

Anchor - Yeah, pink & blue types...

Mohit - Yeah... so... I know, this is for both of us, pink & blue...

(picks up the next gift) My god!! A project on me... like this reminds me of my school days. A project!! Like I never used to complete any of my projects. And on the last day, I would somehow manage to submit the projects. Making a project on me. Putting in so much efforts for my birthday. very nice, thank you. I am touched.

(reads) Hello Mohit. How are you?? I hope you are fine & happy. Just writing this letter for your success towards small screen TV serials. I will try to keep it as short as possible so that you can read the whole letter...

Anchor - Here it is written, I was really fed up of chashmish dialogue in MJHT.

Mohit - Chashmish dialogue!! Why?? Why were you fed up?? (reads) it was pretty well once-twice but not every time. (to the fan) What could I do??If my creatives ask to say it, then I can't do anything.

I am like, working with them. I have to work for them. So I cannot take, you know, decisions. But, ok, I will convey that in my next show, maybe, not to repeat it again & again...one dialogue again & again.

Anchor - I know. This is from last year. It had come some time during the year.

Mohit - (surprised) Ok...ohhh...30th birthday... ohhh... thank you... (reads) Charmee... late delivery... (shows us the card) But see, it still reached me, so, you can always trust these (India Forum) guys. So no matter what, but the gifts & cards will always reach me.

So,thank you Charmee for this lovely card on my 30th birthday which has gone, you know. And this is my 31st birthday, so thank you for this lovely card. I will read this later. Thank You.

And what else?? (reads the next card) Good luck... wishes for your success. (Ok) to Mohit 'Samrat'... (says) yaar Samrat is long gone...

Anchor - That fever does not seem to subside...

Mohit - Yes, it is just not subsiding. Even I cannot forget because that was my first show. My baby!! (reads) Look forward to your dreams as fit... were impossible to fail & success will be yours... This is a very beautiful bracelet & I will give this to Sanaya. Ok guys... thank you. Ok, I will keep this in the box, safely...

Then, there is a dress...oh there is something else...my god... girls can wear so much... (holds up the jewellery pieces for us to see) these are ear rings... these cute ear rings for Sanaya...thank you guys... from Sanaya...

(takes out the dress from the bag) And, if I open this it will be very difficult to keep it back. Can I just show to you like this??

Anchor - I'll do it...I'll do it... I will fold it back.

Mohit - Ok, I will open it then... ok... oh, this looks really beautiful. There is something else also in this... careful... careful... that is why you wrapped it in the dress. That is what we do while packing our bags. No, no, it is a dress...

Anchor - that's a top...

Mohit - (takes out the top) Ok, that's a top, for Sanaya. Thank you...

Anchor - And that's the skirt...

Mohit - from Sanaya...(holds up the skirt) That's the skirt. Ok, that's for Sanaya. Thank you, guys from Sanaya for this lovely dress & jewellery & everything ... so, thank you. I will give this to Sanaya for sure... whenever she is back. Ok, thank you.

(takes the next box) ok, next?? I think these are glasses, packed properly, carefully, has to be glasses. These are glasses, I guess. (Gently unwraps one glass, neatly packed in bubble wraps) So much crockery at home & yet we buy more. And 2 more glasses because we love collecting crockery... (holds up the glass) Oh, beautiful. Very nice. A wine glass. (reads) Live, love, laugh, Sanaya & Mohit... (to fans) so cute... oh... so nice.

I love crystal & this looks like crystal, so, thank you... thank you so much for these lovely glasses... I will keep it in these bubble wraps so it doesn't break... (takes the 2nd glass) same kind... but just in case something else is written... (reads & then says) the same thing is written. So one for me & one for Sanaya while we are having wine... tonight we will wine in these glasses ,ok... Thank you... very nice, these glasses. I really like them.

(Opens the next box, a box of chocolates) Yeah, Sanaya's favorite... and when Sanaya does not eat, I eat, because sometimes she is on a diet, sometimes I am on a diet. And Sanaya... I am serious when I say, I would never eat chocolates. Only because of Sanaya I have started eating chocolates & I am unable to stop eating then.

Open the fridge, eat chocolates, shut the fridge. I am putting on weight because of this. Send less chocolates so we will not put on much weight. As it is we keep buying chocolates. But I love chocolates... even Sanaya loves chocolates.

(sees the chocolates) Lindt...dark chocolates...both of us love dark chocolates, especially Lindt... thank you... (sees one box) Orange flavor... we love that... thank you guys...thank you so much... chocolates... for Sanaya also...

(Opens the next package) Charmee...thank you...

Anchor - Last year... that card also...

Mohit - Last year?? Oh... everything is coming together, one by one... it's just there, everything. Don't worry.

(takes out two gifts) Charmee, thank you. Where are you lost?? You haven't met for so many years, I think, 2 years/3 years. I don't know where you have been lost... so next show, you better meet me, yaar... thank you...

(opens one gift) Ok,this is a letter... (reads) Happy Birthday Mohit Sehgal... Charmee... And then again, there is a letter for me (hold up the letter for us to see) & this picture... thank you... I shall read this later. Thank you. But guys I am not kidding... I am not making this up that I read... I will read everything, ok...

(takes another gift out of the big envelope) Calendar... you always give one calendar for me. (to the anchor) she always gives one calendar... (to the fan) you are one who always gives a calendar to me... & then, my mom comes & she takes away my calendar for her house.

She says that I love... again she is coming tomorrow. She will take this also. I will hide this from her. I will hide this in my cupboard & when she leaves, then I will put it in my house...

Calendar 2017... 2016 calendar I think, is lying in my Delhi house with my mom. Every calendar is there. She takes away all the calendars...(shows us the calendar) Aww, so nice... these are all our marriage pictures... January... how cute...

Mohit (to Deepshikha) - ..And after a lot of effort, I have finally managed to unwrap your gift. Deepshikha, thank you... Thailand, Bangkok... I will open your gift.

Ohhh, T-shirt!!! With my picture... but it's ok, someday I will wear, somewhere... (reads) Happy Birthday (says) to me...thank you. very nice, yaar... I never got one for me.
