Ronit walks away with 'favourite pita' award
Rishabh Bajaj aka Ronit Bose Roy of Kasautii Zindagi Kay was given the favourite pita just as Ekta Kapoor and Star India's CEO Peter Mukerjea walked in. Ronit marked his presence a la Tom Cruise hair style with his wife Neelam who has just delivered a baby girl. "Whatever happens tomorrow, my family and I will be obligated to you forever, Ekta," were Ronit's words of gratitude for Ekta. Anjali of Kkavyanjali is the favourite naya sadasya. She has won the hearts of the audience and beaten Miilee in the category. Though, initially Miilee lead with a wide margin. Karan was the obvious choice for favourite beta. He was dressed nattily in a printed shirt and jeans and accepted the award from Komolika Guhatika and Jaya Bhattacharya. He shared his success by thanking his wife Gauri (Pradhan) and his family members. Surprisingly Ekta and Star Plus were not on his thanks giving list unlike that of Natassha aka Anjali who couldn't help thanking Ekta and Shobha 'aunty' endlessly. Shruti of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii who was leading as the favourite beti went home with the favourite beti. While Harshavardhan Wadhwan of Kumkum became the adorable dada, Farida Jalal of Shararat was voted the favourite
nani. "This character reminds me of my nani. I have moulded myself into this role. Main ise meri nani ka ashirwad samajhti hoon," she said with delight. While the Star welcomed its naya sadasya, it also welcomed it's chota naya sadasya. Bhoomi from Kyunki...was presented this award by her on screen mom Rakshanda Khan. The favourite bhai and behen categories were won by Kahiin To Hoga. Rishi and Mahek won the awards in the respective categories. While Kumkum bagged the favourite bhabhi, Kamal of
Kahaani.. bagged the favourite devar award. The favourite devrani-jethani awards went to the Kyunki family with Ganga and Damini bagging the respective awards. While the awards took its pace to announce its favourites the Kumkum couple Juhi Parmar and Hussain set the evening on fire with their rocking performance on the kaal dhamal number. And so did Shabbir Ahluwalia and Riva Bubber with the fast qawalli number from Main Hoon Na. So while the stars are lost in a trance enjoying the new found boost to their image, the viewers are probably getting back to TV to nominate the next Star Parivaar. Pics by Ananya Sengupta | |||
