"He's like a father figure to me, and I have heard him tell people that he inherited me as dowry." The two are now working together in Ravi Chopra's Viraasat that hits the screen tonight. Baap-beta jodi "I share a highly emotional bond with him. In fact, his wife sends me special sandwiches from home. We try not to share them with anyone on the set as they are so yummy", laughs Rohit. How does it feel working with him after such a long gap? "It feels amazing, there's so much to learn from him as an actor. Apart from being a great actor, Krian's a wonderful human being as well. He remembered that I had played his son's role ten years back and it was a dj vu moment for both of us." In Viraasat, too, they play baap-beta. Apart from him, Rohit is also gung-ho about working with Sangeeta for the first time. "I've never worked with her before. I interacted with her during the Nach Baliye days, and after that we did bump into each other a few times and got to know each other. But this is the first time we've been paired together. From the teasers and billboards that people have seen, they tell me that we look good together." Romancing Ghosh How was it difficult breaking ice with the choosy Ms Ghosh? "There was no ice breaking as such. However, we did sit down and talk before facing the camera as we have quite a few romantic scenes on the show. I found her to be quite hard-working and noticed that she pays a lot of attention to details." Besides Viraasat, Roy is also busy shooting for Zee's Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu after replacing Shaan as the host. "I took this up just to see the reaction I get from people as an anchor. Working with Ishitaa (Arun) is fun because she's a friend so we have had a good chemistry from the beginning." What's his other passion these days? "The World Cup. Although cricket is my first love, soccer is my second passion. I am planning to stay awake all night and watch the matches." |
