just saw this article http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/wassup/40647-i-was-reluctant-to-play-a-mother-to-grown-up-actors-parineeta-bo.htm
they are going to introduce SP's mother who will be the main negative lead.

I guess they are planning for saas-bahu saga in a few months.

When I used to watch in the beginning, this show was really slow. Right now it is moving at a perfect pace for me. I like happening shows. 😊

My thoughts exactly 😆

Was expecting this whole rustic girl in rich family angle when they started this SP-Durga chakkar pre-leap but thought it would be his father who would have issues with Durga's background. However looks like SP's mom will be there to dish the "aukaat" related taunts while her father causes issues on the racing front.

*sigh* For once I was hoping against hope lead heroine wouldn't end up married for a long while yet :/

Frankly, I was expecting another couple of episodes till SP finds out Durga's truth , with the conventional stretch of all Indian dramas , but this fast pace is refreshing , hopefully many more shows are inspired. 😊
I guess , for a teenager , Meri Durga really attracted me because of its fresh concept , not just concentrating on a father, from a relatively orthodox family from Haryana (one of India's states with the highest gender inequality), who educates his daughter despite all hurdles , but the fact that it concentrates on the fact that sports should be equally valued as academics (true fact: I'm into running myself , and this is the only Indian show which I love due to the fact that I can relate to the lead).
Also, Ananya Agarwal is a cutie and I low-key shipped her with Yash Mistry (young Prince).

But the fact that makers decided to bring in the saas-bahu angle does alarm me , please don't ruin the essence of Meri Durga, Durga's strength , courage , morals, devotion and, of course, talent shouldn't diminish with this track.
Also she's what , 19 years old ? She shouldn't be thinking about marriage , she still has to run in Nationals , and also represent India internationally, and get a degree , and open that college in the village she was talking about .

I would also like if makers lengthen the track which shows Durga getting innocence and the villagers/college members apologise for their taunts . My conscience will be relieved after seeing that Chandani bow down to our pure chori .😆

I'm with you Nutella! I really liked the show demonstrating the idea that the route to success does not necessarily need to pass through academic excellence. Actually I really wanted pre-leap Durga to show this in a more elaborate manner with tracks contrasting Durga's less than ideal marks vs the sense of accomplishment she got from running and by spending some time driving home the point to Yashpal. However it didn't quite work out that way or well, it didn't show it quite in the manner I had envisioned.

Anyhow I really hope the focus of the show remains on Durga building her career and not on her, like every other heroine on telly, getting married. I was hoping this would be the next Tamanna - that show did have marriage in its track briefly as a phase in the heroine's life but the main thematic focus remained on Dharaa, her feelings for cricket, and her building a sporting career.

Chandani is so annoying, but I suppose she's the collective representation of "zaalim zamaana". Hope everyone gets their comeuppance and it ain't just a last episode wrap-up affair

I am liking this show after leap and before leap also I liked this show a lot.
But now Point is When is SP going to know that His father and Aarti are the ones behind the Durga Humiliation Conspiracy?

How is Sp going to react knowing his father's evil side ?

Sp will have to do lot for Durga to gain her friendship back.

And I dont think Sp's father will let Durga and Sanjay marry as Sp's Mother is also having Negative role.

About Rana Sir I m having a bad feeling that He may get killed by Sanjay Prince father.

@maya
I guess the proof Rana has on his phone will show who was involved.

But Rana has a long road ahead in terms of recovery and properly regaining his memory I guess and so that proof will take a while to get to...

Yeah SP's face when he found out he had been lied to was worth watching wasn't it 😆

The show is moving fast but I think they are moving fast to get done with the core story of Durga's struggle to become a champion and her father's dream of making her someone. This will clear the way for TRP garnering family drama.

I don't like this but this is what I think seems to be happening. Otherwise, why would they move from Rana being discovered to a clean shaven Rana in 3 episodes? This is way too fast for any show

Hahaha every episode post-leap I've been hanging out for Rana to be shorn of his overgrown thicket. Maybe Durga felt similarly aesthetically offended by his unkempt state. 😉
