Frankly, I was expecting another couple of episodes till SP finds out Durga's truth , with the conventional stretch of all Indian dramas , but this fast pace is refreshing , hopefully many more shows are inspired. 😊
I guess , for a teenager , Meri Durga really attracted me because of its fresh concept , not just concentrating on a father, from a relatively orthodox family from Haryana (one of India's states with the highest gender inequality), who educates his daughter despite all hurdles , but the fact that it concentrates on the fact that sports should be equally valued as academics (true fact: I'm into running myself , and this is the only Indian show which I love due to the fact that I can relate to the lead).
Also, Ananya Agarwal is a cutie and I low-key shipped her with Yash Mistry (young Prince).
But the fact that makers decided to bring in the saas-bahu angle does alarm me , please don't ruin the essence of Meri Durga, Durga's strength , courage , morals, devotion and, of course, talent shouldn't diminish with this track.
Also she's what , 19 years old ? She shouldn't be thinking about marriage , she still has to run in Nationals , and also represent India internationally, and get a degree , and open that college in the village she was talking about .
I would also like if makers lengthen the track which shows Durga getting innocence and the villagers/college members apologise for their taunts . My conscience will be relieved after seeing that Chandani bow down to our pure chori .😆
