Ahem - Hi!😳
Ruhaan's side had also re-grouped and Rumi came forward with a similar basket of flowers, waving it under the salis noses before pushing the flowers aside. Rani frowned and emptied the flowers out on the floor but saw no sign of the shoes.
The girls looked at each other blankly as Ruhaan became impatient.
"Okay; whoever has my shoes give them quickly because Simran is getting heavier."
Simran glared at him and pushed herself out of his arms as Minnie timidly came forward; informing the girls that she had wanted to move the baskets out of the way which maybe why both sides picked up the wrong flower baskets. The girls gawped at her, before picking up their lenghas and hurrying away to retrieve the shoes.
After much running around, screaming in frustration and 17 empty flower baskets later, Tanai jumped up excitedly and did a little happy jig.
"Found them!!!"
She beamed as Rani and Rumi cheered whilst the salis groaned. Abhi, who had so far restrained Ruhaan from jumping of the mandir and following a peeved Simran, also breathed a sigh of relief as his brother eagerly held his hand out for the jhoothe.
"Paise do, jhoothe lelo"
Rumi announced in a singsong voice, a Cheshire grin on her face as she swung the shoes in front of a confused Ruhaan.
"Heh?"
The girls laughed.
"Sorry Ruhaan. We found your shoes but that doesn't mean we don't expect an award"
Ruhaan sighed and pulled out some notes.
"Here; here's 2000 each. Now can I please have my shoes?"
He pleaded, handing over 6,000 Rs. Tanai raised her brow and stuck her hand out.
"2,000 each, for us as well as your saalis."
Ruhaan gawped at them as Saneela, Naz, Nabila and Annie came forward with outstretched hands and huge grins. Ruhaan bristled and crossed his arms.
"I don't have that much money."
Rumi imitated Ruhaan and rolled her eyes,
"Ruhaan, I put the money in your pocket…I know exactly how much there is so hurry up."
After much grumbling [from Ruhaan] and poking [literally…Rani and Nazmien being the offenders] enough money had been put together to satisfy all the girls who promptly handed over the jhoothe. Ruhaan hastily slipped them on and hurried over to Simran who had spent the last 10 minutes happily sitting beside Kiran and Minnie. On seeing Ruhaan, she frowned and moved to other end of the room, leaving him watching her unhappily.
The girls exchanged glances.
"Should we help him?"
Asked Annie, looking concerned at Ruhaan's worried face. Saneela sighed.
"We might as well. It looks like Ruhaan jiju needs the extra help."
Beaming, she rushed over to Ruhaan and whispered in his ear…

Simran turned to find Ruhaan kneeling in front of her with his arms outstretched.

Ruhaan took her wrist before pulling at the pins that held her coy bun in place, causing her tresses to come loose under her heavy dupatta. She spun around and Ruhaan smiled as he buried his face in her hair.

He trailed his finger down to her ankle and flicked her payal. Simran frowned at him and turned to find the girls surrounding her.

Nabila nudged Simran, causing her to collide in to Ruhaan who smiled at her sweetly.

Minnie happily swung Simran around pulled Ruhaan closer to his bride. teri meri nazar jo mili pehli baarho gaya ho gaya tujhse pyaarRuhaan gazed at Simran as he held out a single red rose and brushed it softly against her cheek.

The girls pulled Simran and Ruhaan together, before joining the rest of the guests as they danced happily around Simran. Rumi and Tanai handed out the remaining baskets of flowers and soon the hall erupted with cheer as the guests showered the couple with rose petals.
Ruhaan kissed Simran gently on her cheek, causing her to blush and bury her face in his chest.
