Television star now goes the filmi way. Gaurav Khanna the male lead of Meri Doli Tere Angana on Zee TV walked out of the sets on Monday. Speaking about the trauma producer Akhilesh said, "Gaurav, the main lead in Meri Doli Tere Angana, was quite co-operative when he was new, but since the past two months he has been throwing a lot of tantrums on the sets. We had a contract of about 20 days, but he didn't complete it." Apparently Gaurav was never on time, because of which the shooting schedules go haywire. The producers were bearing the brunt of this, but two days back they said matters reached a head. Speaking about the trauma, supervising producer Akhilesh said, "Two days back, we had scheduled to shoot at 9 am for which we also needed some children. Though it was difficult to get child-actors due to their examinations, somehow we managed it. Gaurav did not come at 9 am, instead he postponed it to 2 pm. Everything was on hold for all this while and the schedule went haywire. In spite of re-scheduling his shoots at 2 pm, he turned up around 4 pm and told the producer to shoot quickly. We said it would take some time to let the children prepare. Hearing this he threw a fit, furiously walked back to the car and left the venue." In response Gaurav says, "I have quit the show and would not like to comment on this. I have got my first break as a lead with this show and am very grateful to the producers." www.deccan.com |
