FEBRUARY 28^th 2008 - WRITTEN UPDATE

From now on, Ru will be called Aman (Bhargav's grandson)

HIGHLIGHTS:

Bhargav repeats that Aman is his grandson but Rukmini and Vishwas look unconvinced at his explanation

Sargam keeps thinking of the stranger when her friend reminds her that Vedant is waiting for her

Durga makes Aman promise that he will never leave her and he does

Durga is excited to have Aman back and plans to make Kheer for him while Rukmini plots to somehow get Ru/Aman to reveal the truth about himself

Vedant gifts bangles to Sargam, some of them break and she gets upset but Vedant asks her to not believe in superstitions

Sargam thinks that if Vedant turns to see her, then it would be God's indication that he is her Prince Charming and is disappointed when he doesn't and wonders if Vedant is really the one for her

The scene continues from yesterday's episode.

Outside Bhargav's House

Bhargav keeps repeatedly saying 'This is Aman, my sole heir. Now I will hand over all my responsibilites to Aman and sleep peacefully'. Rukmini tells Vishwas 'How did this happen? Bhargav's grandson? I don't believe it'. Bhargav tells Aman 'Aman dear, this is your house and these are all your relatives. Your house and your relatives welcome u'. Aman looks at the house and everyone, very confused. Vishwas tells Rukmini 'Now did u come to know who is the real heir? Now in the battle between the 2 of us, this guy stands to gain'. Rukmini pretends to smile and asks Bhargav as to where he found the guy and Bhargav says 'He has a nice name .. Aman, ie. messenger of peace'. Rukmini says 'Yes Aman, how did he come here? I thought Aadesh and his wife settled down overseas and you don't have any relations with him anymore, then how did he land here suddenly?'. Bhargav replies' Just take it to be God's wish. After so long, our grandson got pulled towards his grandparents. But God's games are also so strange, he was on his way here to meet us and on the way, he met with an accident and all his friends got drowned in the river, but see God's miracle, in spite of being badly wounded, HE managed to get Aman to us safely. A sweet, innocent girl saved his life and had him admitted to the hospital. There Dr. V saw Aadesh's photo in his wallet and informed me. He's been in the hospital for long, when he got better, we brought him home'. Vishwas and Rukmini look unconvinced. Bhargav then proceeds to introduce some of the family members to Aman. They then take him inside the house and ask him to rest. Aman agrees and looks at the Ganpati idol in his hands. Rukmini thinks 'Say what u want Bhargav, but my heart is not ready to accept that Aman is your grandson. After all, he bears no resemblance to the family, I have to find out what's the truth'.

Sargam's House

Sargam enters her house and thinks 'The stranger has gone to his house, its good, he got his house an new relatives, otherwise what would've happened to him? But O God, now I won't be able to meet him at all, I will never come to know if he regained his memory and whether he is being well taken care of or not. But I feel he will be happy there. Dadiji will love him a lot … even if I am not there .. but without him, I will not feel nice to visit the hospital'. Her friend comes and calls out to her and she goes running to her and says 'Do u know, that stranger is from a rich, big family'. She goes on and her friend interrupts her saying 'Leave all that, do u even remember that your fianc has been waiting for u for so many hours at the temple? And now if u didn't go there soon, u will be in trouble'. Sargam is shocked and rushes off saying 'Thanks to that stranger, I keep forgetting everything'.

Bhargav's House

Durga shows Aman his room and says 'This is your father Aadesh's room. For years, I have myself been cleaning this room. Whenever your dadaji felt like meeting your dad, he used to come and sit in this room for hours. This room has everything but if u need anything, there is a call-bell by the bed, pls press it'. Aman keeps looking at the idol in his hands and Durga says 'Since the time u've come, u've been holding this idol, give it to me and I will have it installed properly'. He gives the idol to her and she asks where he got it from and he mumbles something. Durga continues that having a Ganpati idol is very auspicious. She makes him sit on the bed and caresses his face and hair and says 'U can't imagine how happy we are to see u after so long'. Aman asks her about his dad and she describes Aadesh to be a very intelligent guy, who was always a class topper. She continues 'He was very self-reliant and wanted to do something on his own. Your dadaji wanted him to join the family business and to some extent, he did help out. But when he got married against your dadaji's wishes, he got very angry. They both had a big fight and Aadesh left the house and went overseas. In this fight between father and son, I was torn in two. But Aman, promise me that u will never leave me and go' and Amam promises. Durga gets emotional and kisses him on the forehead.

Bhargav watches all this from outside the room and thinks 'I don't know how long this lie will last, but after a long time, I am seeing a will to live, in Durga, that is enough for me'. He leaves, wiping his eyes and Rukmini comes there, sees Aman and Durga and says 'He looks like a seasoned player, but he cannot escape from me. If I don't get u to confess the truth, then my name is not Rukmini'. She looks evil.

~BREAK~

Temple

Sargam goes rushing to the temple to see Vedant asleep on the stairs and feels sorry. She rings the bell to wake him up and holding her ears, apologizes for being late and he says 'I told u that I will wait until u come'. She starts giving reasons for being late and he puts a finger to her mouth and says 'Do u know how much u talk? Don't u ever get tired?' and she says "I know u are upset, ok u can get angry and scold me'. Vedant smiles and says 'I am not angry with u but I'm going to do something after which, wherever u go, whoever u go with, my love will always be with u'. Sargam stares at him and asks what he was planning to do, whether he would tie her up? and he replies 'Not a rope but I will surely bind u with my love'. She asks how and he pulls her along with him, saying 'I'll show u'.

Bhargav's House

Durga is in the kitchen, looking happy and instructs her cooks to cook well and make Kheer as it was Aadesh's favourite and asks them to make it the way Aadesh always liked it. Some girl comes calling her Mami and Durga assigns her some task in the kitchen.

Rukmini watches all this and says 'Wow, you think your problems are solved. Now u be busy preparing dishes for your grandson and let me go and start planning'. She leaves.

At the Mela

Vedant takes Sargam to a bangle-seller and chooses green-colored bangles for her, He starts to put it on Sargam himself but the bangle-seller tells him 'These are very delicate glass bangles, it's considered very inauspicious if they break so let me do it' but Vedant insists and starts putting it in Sargam. The bangles break and Sargam looks worried while the bangle-seller says 'I told u so' and again asks him to let it be but Vedant says 'It's ok, they are made of glass so naturally they may break, what's the big deal?' and asks for bigger-sized bangles and and puts it on Sargam, amidst Sargam's request to let the woman do it. He then tells her 'Here, now I have bound you in my love forever, these bangles are a symbol of my love so take care of them'. Sargam says 'But why did the bangle-seller say that? Is it really considered inauspicious if the bangles break?' and Vedant says 'Why are u so innocent? These are mere glass bangles and my love is not like these bangles, that will break at the slightest push, my love for u is very deep. Besides, it should be an auspicious occasion, since I've bound u in my love?'. Sargam smiles and thinks 'Is it just my imaginary fears and nothing else?'.

~BREAK~

Sargam's House

Vedant and Sargam reach home and Vedant asks her 'Did u like these bangles? I mean, my symbol of love?'. Holding her hand, he continues 'Don't ever separate them from u. Promise me that u will never ever take them off' and Sargam teases him and says 'How can I promise? If they ever break, then I will have to take them off' and Vedant says its ok. She then again repeats about it being inauspicious of the bangles break and Vedant says exasperatedly 'Oho, which world are u living in? How can u believe in such silly superstitious things? Oh, I forgot to tell u, I am going out of town for 3 days. Can u do one thing for me? Consider yourself to be mine and take care of yourself and these bangles'. She just nods and he says 'Your husband-to-be is going out of town and no reaction? U don't want to say anything, not even bye?' and she says 'Bye' and he looks disappointed and says 'Just bye? Ok, will see u when I return but trust me, I will miss u'. Sargam smiles and he leaves.

Sargam thinks 'Is this the prince of my dreams? Was the priest referring to him when he made that prediction? Why is it that I don't feel restless when I see him? Why don't I feel like calling him back? Ok God, now u signal to me if Vedant is really the one for me. He is walking away and if he turns around, I will know for sure that he is the one, my prince'. She watches Vedant expectantly but he just walks off without turning.

Sargam looks worried and says 'Why didn't he understand my feelings? If he is my prince charming, then why didn't he then come to know my heart's desire? If only he had turned once, all my confusion would've been cleared. What game is this God? Dad selected Vedant for me and my Mum also liked him, so many people cannot be wrong. No, maybe I am the one who is wrong and getting worried unnecessarily. Vedant is such a nice guy, I should not have such thoughts about him, he is right, I should stop believing in these silly superstitions. But … the priest's words, bangles breaking .. I don't know why I feel that Vedant is not the one? But if Vedant is not my prince charming, then who is?'.

Episode ends on Sargam's face.

Precap: Rukmini sees a sleeping Aman and says 'He's sleeping so peacefully after snatching away my sleep. My name is not Rukmin if I don't get u to reveal the truth about yourself that you is just a hired imposter'. She picks up a glass of water from near the bead and throws it on Aman's face and says loudly 'Hey, tell me who u are and where have u come from?'

Episode Rating: 4.5/10. It feels so strange to write Aman instead of Ru L Looks like Sargam is having 2^nd thoughts about Vedant. Btw, loved Vedant's dialogue 'Tumhe pataa hai tum kitna bolti ho?' Well-said !!!
