Yes, agreed. We wanted the Gaurav-Priyamvada magic back. So with either
of them out of the serial, things can never be the same again.
We might as well close the petition now.

Ok, with regards to the petition, just thinking out aloud here, but what if the petition message were to be updated to include the fact about Gaurav's ouster and that the signees will now like to see Gaurav & Priyamvada paired in a new serial together. Then e-mail this updated petition out to Zee Tv Asia with the new message and end it there.

Since the signees aim was partly to see Ru & Sim back together, they may welcome this as well... It will also help put to good use the efforts behind getting all these signatures in place to date.

Well, I don't think this is the right way to do it. We cannot change the petition contents after people have signed it.
This should be a new petition, if at all.

Anyway, by now Zee would have already seen the petition and from that, and our emails they would have figured
that Gaurav-Priyamvada jodi is such a hit. Maybe we don't need another petition.

Signed it.. they r even replacing gaurav

I'd agree with ND26, it wouldn't be right to change the basic petition and we may need to create a new petition to get Gaurav back.

But frankly, does anyone now want Gaurav or Priyamvada back in this show?

So my thought is, let's just close that petition lest Zee/Rahul Bhat think that they can bring back Priyamvada and still get viewers to watch the show. What say?

Well, it wouldn't be as much changing the basic petition, rather highlighting the underlying intent of the signees, in lieu of the new circumstances of Gaurav going out of the show. But if that's not very obvious, then don't see any other advantage in keeping the petition open anymore.

Another petition to get Gaurav & Priyamvada back in the show is a tall order least likely to happen anyways.

Well, from the TB article, it is clear that Gaurav's exit from MDTA has been anything but amicable so it is unlikely that the production house will want him back. That being the case, even changing anything on the current petition is pointless.

I guess we can just go ahead and close the petition, I just need more support to do that ... don't want to be unilaterally deciding on everyone's behalf.

So friends, do let us know what u think about closing the petition. After all, we did our best and all said and done, at least we will not have any regrets that we didn't try.
