Members having probs reading the updates

Hi,

Some of u have mentioned (either thru' PMs to me or directly in the forum) that u are unable to read the updates. I'd already given some steps to try and resolve this problem, here it is again:

Note: Having a fast/new PC alone is not sufficient, the 2 important things u need are (i) a good & stable Internet connection and (ii) your Internet browser enabled to view pictures

These were the only ideas that came to my mind. If anyone else has any other ideas, pls do write in and let us know so we can help the others.

FYI, pls do understand that at the moment, posting the updates as picture files is the only option we have to protect our "copyright", as writing them in plain text made it easy for admins/members from other forums to copy the same into their site and passing it off as their own.

Are the people who are having problems reading the updates, also having troubling viewing pictures in the picture gallery on the forums? That check will help troubleshooting this.

Can the IF developers (Vijay and team) help?

Ok, I have made some changes to the format, please take a look and let me know whether you are able to view this. Please send your reply in this same post.

If members who are having problems can respond to both the above posts (by jpn_ki_gudiya and myself), it will help in finding out the cause of the problem.

It's very disappointing to note that while members keep sending PMs that they are not able to view the updates, no one bothers to give us details on exactly what the problem is ... saying "I can't view the updates" is not very informative.

So for the last time, pls do take the trouble to read this post and respond. Unless u do that, there is little me or the Dev Team can do to solve your problem.

Guys if you don't tell us what the problem is then we can't address it....are the updates in terms of pictures not showing up?

Is it loading to slow?

Do tell us and I'll have some Coolbies and Videobies have a look at the problem....until then, the new format is staying!😊

Try posting the pics in tinypic...as some ISP's (especially for people reading at work) block photobucket etc. hosted pics but tinypics work fine.

I just saw this post. I am one of the victims who cannot view updates. All i get is 'x' icons. I select "show picture" but it still doesn't come up. In the picture gallery, it seems i can view .jpg pictures. The one picture that is posted by rumi2004 on pg 15, i cannot see that. I'm thinking that the problem can be related to certain picture file extensions that my PC doesn't accept.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate your detailed info on the problem. From what u've described, it seems like u have a problem with viewing pics from www.photobucket.com 'coz rumi2004's picture is also from the same site.

You'll need to find a way to enable your PC to view pictures from photobucket.

Chitu, would it be possible for you to save the updates on your PC and then upload them on to tinypic?😕
