DECEMBER 20th - WRITTEN UPDATE
HIGHLIGHTS:
Sim vows to find out about the mystery woman at Saxena's place
Sim tells Pia about the mystery woman but Pia is not convinced and says nothing can stop the marriage
SC gets angry with Sim for trying to cast doubts about Aman's family, Madhvi reprimands Sim but Sim is determined to find the truth and reveals her thoughts to Naina
Abhi meets Shanaya and Umang and tries to find out about Umang's illness but Shanaya refuses to tell him anything
Sim prepares to leave for Saxena house on the sly and asks Naina to cover for her, Naina gloats at the opportunity to belittle Simran in front of the family

Oberoi House-Ru-Sim Room
Sim thinks about the woman behind the closed door at Saxena's place (flash back is shown) and wonders 'Who is that woman? There is some big secret in there and Aman also got so scared when he saw me there, as if he was caught. Why do I keep getting the feeling that the Saxena family is not what they appear to be and Aman also is not what he seems to be? (Flashback of Aman saying 'Don't worry, everything will be alright of marriage' shown). No, I don't think Pia will be happy with Aman in that house. If this marriage takes place, Pia will be in trouble, something is not right, if only I can find out something about that woman. Yes, I have to find out the secret about that woman'.
Pia-Ria Room
Ria is sleeping and Pia is sitting on the bed crying (the song Jag Soona Soona from OSO plays and flashback of Karan-Pia and Pia's engagement shown). Someone knocks on the door, it is Sim. She tells Pia 'I want to talk something important, come with me' and takes her to the garden. Sim says 'Pia, u remember, we both felt something's wrong in Saxena house and felt that someone was watching us from the top? It's true, there was someone upstairs inside a closed room'. Sim explains that she saw a woman in that room and Pia is surprised. Sim continues 'I don't know who she is, I didn't get to see her face, I have never seen her before with the Saxenas. As I was about to enter that room, Aman came in and stopped me, he appeared pale when he saw me near that room'. Pia wonders what the matter could be and Sim says 'I think there is definitely some mystery surrounding that woman'. Pia says 'I don't think there is any mystery to it, maybe the Saxenas missed out introducing her to us at the engagement'. Sim disagrees and says 'No Pia, there is something fishy'. Pia gets emotional and says 'Bhabhi, I understand that you are looking for ways to stop my marriage, but its too late now. I don't think the wedding can be stopped, I've compromised with my fate bhabhi' and leaves crying. Sim looks determined and thinks 'No Pia, this is not your fate, I am certain that there is definitely some big secret hidden in that Saxena family and I will unfold it, no matter what'.
Oberoi House - Dining Area
Next morning, all the Oberoi women are at the breakfast table. SC asks Pia 'Did u invite all ur friends for the evening's Mehndi ceremony? We all are going to have so much fun. I always wanted to see Mehndi on Pia's hands, today that desire of mine will come true'. Sim looks worried and Naina sees that. SC tells Madhvi 'Come, there is so much work to do, let's do the preparation for the evening ceremony' and they leave.
Naina goes to Sim and asks 'What happened Simran, u look very worried?'. Sim says 'Nothing' and Naina says 'U always think of everyone all the time, but u should also have someone for your problems, If u think that I am fit to be a confidante, then atleast tell me what the matter is, u can lighten your burden that way'. Sim relents and says 'Thnx, even I was wondering who to talk to, I don't know why but I feel there is some problem in Aman's house'. Naina pretends to look shocked and loudly says 'What are u saying? Today is Pia's Mehndi ceremony and u are saying this? What do u plan to do? Sneak in quietly into Saxena house and find out what the matter is?' Sim tries to quieten her but SC comes and says 'I heard all that u said Simran, what is your problem? Why are u always hell-bent on creating problems for me?'. Madhvi also looks annoyed and asks Sim 'What is this Simran?' and SC says 'She has always been interfering in this matter, now when everything is going alright, she wants to create trouble'. Madhvi sternly tells Sim 'Look Simran, this is not right, Pia has agreed after so much of convincing and now when we have finalized everything and are holding the Mehndi ceremony today, for u to start having doubts about the Saxena family and Aman is not correct. You should stop having such thoughts'. SC continues angrily 'I know this is all Simran's ploy, she is unhappy that things have turned out alright finally and wants that I should again burn myself. That alone will make her happy, she cannot see me happy'. Madhvi calms SC and tells her that Sim won't do such a thing again and looks angrily at Sim. Madhvi and SC leave and Sim looks upset.
Naina pretends to look apologetic and tells Sim 'I am so sorry, I shouldn't have spoken to loudly', Sim says 'Its ok, SC has always believed me to be wrong. But no matter what anyone says, even if the whole family goes against me and tries to stop me, I will find out what is wrong in Aman's family, I will get to the root of this matter' and leaves.
Naina smiles and thinks 'Thank u! This is what is called digging one's own grave, Simran u've made things easy for me, I didn't have to do anything to make your family hate u, it's already started and all I have to do is just keep fanning the fire and the whole family will hate u'. She has her usual evil smile.

Oberoi Office
Abhi enters the office and the receptionist tells him that Shanaya has not yet come to office, he looks worried.
Shanaya's House
Shanaya is at home with her brother Umang playing scrabble. Umang asks for a Pizza and Shanaya says 'U know what the doc said no? No junk food for some time, u should only eat healthy food'. He gets angry and says all this healthy food is so boring and upsets the game. He leaves for his room and Shanaya looks upset. Someone knocks on the door and its Abhi. Shanaya looks surprised to see a smiling Abhi. She keeps staring at him and he asks 'Can I come in or are u planning to send me off from the doorstep itself?'. She calls him in and he starts looking around the room and she gets uncomfortable. He asks 'So how is Umang?' and she looks shocked.
Restaurant
Sim goes to the restaurant and asks a waiter about Karan saying she wants to meet him. The waiter says that Karan is on leave today. Karan is shown hiding and listening to the conversation. Sim asks for Karan's address but the waiter says he doesn't know. She writes down her contact details on a piece of paper and asks him to give it to Karan and let him know that he has to call her. He agrees and she leaves. Karan goes to the waiter and asks if Sim had any doubts that he was lying and he says No and gives Sim's contact details. He asks Karan 'Why didn't u want to meet her? Maybe she wanted to say something about Pia?'. Karan tears the paper and says 'No, Pia made me promise that I should not meet her anymore and I will fulfill that promise, so why should I know anything about Pia now? All I want is for Pia to be happy wherever she is'. He looks sad.

Shanaya's House
Abhi is drinking tea and tells Shanaya 'I have a request, pls don't say No, if u need any help or want me to do anything, pls let me know'. She says 'No thnx'. Umang comes out from his room looking sleepy and Shanaya looks horrified. Abhi is surprised to see Umang and asks Shanaya 'Why did u lie that he is at school?' Umang comes and says 'U must be Abhishek Oberoi' and Abhi says 'Yes and this intelligent young lad must be Umang'. He asks Umang 'Why didn't u go to school today?' and Umang replies 'I am ill, that's why. My sis says that it's all 'coz of the junk food that I eat'. Abhi smiles and says 'She is right and u must listen to what she says'. Shanaya looks uncomfortable and shoos Umang out of the room. Abhi asks her 'Now tell me, what is wrong with him?' Shanaya says 'Nothing, and anyway what is the point in telling?'. Abhi insists but she doen't say anything further about Umang and says 'Sir, I will start coming to office from tomm'. Abhi looks disappointed and leaves reluctantly.
Oberoi House-Hall
Sim is wondering why Karan didn't call. SC is running around and getting restless that the decorations are not yet complete, Madhvi chides her and asks her to get ready soon. She also tells Sim to get ready soon. The phone rings and Madhvi picks up, Sim thinks it maybe Karan and listens in but it is someone else and she wonders about Karan.
Sim gets ready and is about to leave the house when Naina calls her and asks loudly 'Simran, where are u going? I hope u are not going to Aman's house to clear your doubts?'. Sim asks her to speak softly and Naina says 'The function is going to start soon and if u disappear, it will be very obvious and people will ask about you no?' Sim says 'U can help me, if anyone asks, make some excuse for me pls'. Naina says 'Of course Simran, I can do anything for u, I am there no, I will take of everything here, u go and don't worry at all'. Sim looks relieved and smilingly says 'Thanx Naina, u are my best friend' and leaves. Naina smirks and thinks 'How innocent u are, of all the people around here, u got me to make excuses for u? Now watch the fun'. She has her evil smile.

Precap: Sim has covered her face with ghoonghat (veil) and is dressed as a dancing girl and enters Saxena House with other dancing girls. Saxena's mother welcomes her saying 'Come, u all are so late, we were waiting for u for so long'. Sim says 'We are also very restless and are waiting to dance at your place and be a part of your happiness'. She lifts her ghoonghat slightly and looks at the closed door.
Episode Rating: 5/10. Naina is back with a vengance and is trying her best to harm Simran's reputation and make the whole family get angry with her 😡. Simran is her usual, trusting self and is creating problems for herself. No Ru or any Ru-Sim scene to brighten the weekend 😔.
