Hi all avid fans of Gaurav Khanna, here's some food for thought, an impromptu discussion on a topic that's been on my mind for a while...

Gaurav Khanna in Bollywood!

I am sure no one will deny that Gaurav has proven his versatality in his acting abilities in the past months; mainly with Kumkum, Mdta, and now Santaan & Ardhangini. I for one will not be surprised if all this catapults him into the big leagues of Bollywood cinema in the very near future!! He is one actor I've seen after a long time with some strong potential to make it big.

With the risk of sounding too filmy, here goes, I think Gaurav has:

  • the flamboyance, adayein/charm, energy & screen presence (larger than life) like SRK (sans dimples ofcourse 😉),
  • the ability to get into the skin of the character aka Aamir,
  • the debonair, coolness & endearing quality of Abhishek 😎(Nivaan's nok-jhok with the elderly lady in Ardhangini's 12/12 episode, probably made the lady's day 😆),
  • the comic flair and timing of Amitabh / Shammi Kapoor? (like his drunken scenes, be it comic like in ardhangini or serious like in mdta),
  • sensitivity like Ajay Devgan (it's all in the eyes!😳),
  • and dancing skills & a physique worthy of Hrithik?

What say? I am sure his fighting skills won't be far behind, a la Akshay kumar, we had a glimpse of that in Santaan's 12/12 episode.

Not to mention that he is at the right age. Just the right time to act with the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone etc. It would be interesting to see how he fares with the bigwigs 😍.

So, what do you all think? Will he make it big on screen or will he be a one time wonder? What genre of films will suit him best? What may be his drawbacks, if any? Or would you rather continue to see him daily on television? Come, come, say say...

Gaurav on the big screen would be amazing and I'd wish him all the best if his career does kick of in Bollywood👍🏼....

But coming to the question "Will he, Won't he?"; It's all down to luck....

There are many Tellywood actors out there who have the talent, personality and looks to make it big....fans can argue all day about which one's the best and some may even get a chance to dab in Bollywood but how many really make it big?

Gaurav also has bucket loads of talent and personality; and there is no question about the looks!😳

He'll just have to see where his destiny takes him!😛

Yes, hope he makes it big in Bollywood some day!

Gaurav is truly very talented but its a pity that he's still somehow known only as Sharman. I was surprised to see posts in other serial forums where members still recognise him as only as Sharman and not as Ruhaan. Gaurav will need to come out of the Sharman mould and market himself as an all-rounder. MDTA is good proof that he is very much at ease portraying different kind of roles and emotions.

All the best to him!

Ya, he has the potential - great looks & great actor.

Agree that he should be careful of not getting stereotyped.
