Grumpy Amber what a sour face

Seriously this Amber is getting really silly now.

First he does not want to propose, how stupid is that. Than when Guneet does it, he stands with this silly face. Be happy Man, you just had your Lady love propose to you and your daughter, knowing that Mum is not with it yet.

Seriously and in today's episode all he did is moan and looks so miserable that it was hard to imagine why he wants to get married at all. Looks like he is going to a Funeral.

Why is carrying on like that and does he forget that its Guneet's Marriage as well.

It beggars belief that one can be so miserable when marrying someone you love.

Yah I mean kal tak woh guneet ke sath kitna khush ho raha tha n aaj dekho kya face bana rakha he..

I know ke ye usaka second marriage he..may be he is thinking n remembering the past moments..or may be he think that all this celebration are not good according to their age n all situation but he should also consider that its first time for guneet..

He should also see how his own daughter is so happy n excited for all this..kam se kam usake liye musura toh sakhte ho..

I think the CVs are being consistent if extreme, in his characterisation. This is the CVs way of showing his “khadoos” unsocial personality & contrast it with Guneet.

Earlier also he was shown averse to even having his neighbours over socially & violently objected when Pammy called them over (when they moved to G’bad). He never maintained closeness with family on either side. He didnt even think of Niya, of how she might need relatives & neighbours in her life even if he didn’t. He is now showing the same insensitivity towards Guneet. (In fact I found his enjoyment of the Shuklas’ party out of character - I guess he cldnt resist as Guneet was leaving.)

Another thing - in India I have observed that often the men set the tone for the family’s lifestyle & others fall in line. I have heard aunties saying “unko yeh shor sharaba, logon ka aana jana bilkul nahin pasand” & avoid gatherings. I have also seen the opposite, “unko mehman nawazi ka bahut shok hai” & ladies forced to make samosas for an army of guests. Many Indian men of that generation are used to this & become insensitive to what the wives/kids want.

That is a good observation. But if CVs don't go in that direction then it is for nothing. I really hope that they don't make a mess and ruin the wedding because of this.

That's exactly what is going on in his mind! He feels, at this age his daughter should be getting married with pomps. Instead he is getting married for the second time. Obviously, it shouldn't be this way. But, if I put myself in his shoes, even I would probably react this way.

Though I hated it when he said no to dancing (because I am a dancer, and when I see someone telling people not to dance and telling the music is too loud, it irritates me 🙈)

Other than that, I can totally understand why he reacts this way.....

I think thats a fair point. It is natural to feel disquiet about the pomp & sho-sha when one feels past the age (& everyone arnd him including sasuma, Swara, wedding planner are rubbing it in) plus having a child of marriageable age - in a regular situation he wld hv been arranging all this for his daughter.

I understand that he wants a simple wedding but y he didn't discuss with guneet b4 ? When guneet was mad with him during that time he was behaving like teen ager to get his lady love back ..now y this drama?

He was annoying character always now more ..kharus dumb😡

Now he will be comparing guneet each things with anjali..already he started abt light colors..😠its not sensible at all .

He should stay alone with his x wife picture whole life ...he doesn't deserve guneet love..

I agree. Nia is prejudiced bcoz he is her dad and therefore can only see his goodness. Amber has always been a selfish man who cares first for himself and then his daughter. Comparing Guneet to his dead ex-wife and that too openly revealing the same to her is being extremely insensitive. He does not deserve her at all. I am so pissed that I could happily slap him in public!
