So Anurag's mother thinks that Guneet's job doesn't lives upto their family's reputation. She also reprimanded Guneet about dressing style. Moreover she told her to sit at home as Anurag earns well.

Then turns out Anurag might to think about her the same way, and he might not be the saint we thought he was.

I knew they had to remove Anurag from the picture, but why like this??? Anurag turning out to be a not so truthful and honest is a cliche I so wanted to avoid.

Even if Anurag is out of picture, right now Amber is no prize either.

I don’t think they expected the pair Guneet-Anurag to be a hit and well liked by us, over Amber ! They realized they messed with the theme of the storyline and now trying redeem it back.. by butchering characters to save some ! Shows how clueless the CVs are right now for them to come up with cheap excuses to outsed Anurag from the pic ! 🤢

Jis baat ka dar tha wohi hua. Only I didnt expect it thru him mum. But I was sure the CVs wld make Anurag a villian.

Sad that an ITV hero can be a hero only when all other eligible men are villains.

Don't tell me they actually thought people would like a man in his late forties with rage issues and overall unpleasant personality with some goodness sprinkled here and there so as to differentiate him from a villain.

But let's see, from this point onwards Amber might start behaving like a grown-up man otherwise there's no point in watching this show.

True!!

Because heroes are often just slightly better than clownish villains. And it's not even true in Amber's case, he is still a childish man.

A great way to end things between Guneet and Anurag could have been disagreement over things like Guneet wanting to have kids and Anurag not as he already has a kid, or Anurag wanting to move abroad but Guneet wanting to stay here because of her career etc... That would have kept things modern yet realistic and still valid.

Well I wouldn't say they've made Anurag a villain yet but they do seem to be laying the ground for his eventual ousting and this is the only way they could think of to do it. What they have shown is actually common among Indian men - asking the wife/fiance to go along with the MIL till she is around, and then saying you can do whatever you want once MIL is out of the picture. They don't seem to find anything wrong with this sort of deception and I think it comes from their desire to avoid confrontation and unpleasantness at all costs😆

If Guneet eventually chooses Amber with all his flaws so be it , that's her choice. No need to invent flaws in Anurag just to justify her choice.

I hope this is not the start of more things she will find objectionable in Anurag/his mom.

I think problem lies in us the viewers. We Indian audiences want a hero to be a holier than thou not any real person who can have issues. We tend to ship any positive character that come across , that's why they even though they might didn't thought of making him villain but may be try one in future. When we know very well amber & guneet are fixed for each other, still some of us shipping g & a. Why, for a change can't they show one man who's not hero can be positive, while hero is not typical all white. And the show is about amber & his dulhaniya and how he's going to be a change person, more social & kind person is the main essence of the show, not guneet or anurag. If guneet isn't going to be Amber's bride then sorry she's not the main lead. Why can't CVS tell their story in their own way, r we going to write the story or them. After anurag & guneet's marriage what will remain in story. They can bring some new lead for amber, then we'll again sorry for her, right. Then what?? I'm really enjoying the show, it's a refreshing story telling, with a stellar cast like VB & ST, even the younger one's r doing great job. Do we can ask for more? Just enjoy the show, don't over judged Amber's action as CVS are just buying time nothing else. Anyway looking forward to how amber going to realise he has fallen for guneet & how he's going to redeem his actions. I have high hope form writers, let's see...

When exactly a hero is ever holier than thou? Most of the time they're jerks and still a hero. I don't remember any hero who was actually an emotionally mature man. Hanuman Singh from Patiala babes was probably the only one. Most of the time hero's jerkiness is glossed over and romanticized, they're often rude to other people for no good reason and sometimes even commit actions that are actual crimes in this country.

So if the show is about Guneet and Amber's love story, they should make sure that both characters match each other on maturity level. Or maybe don't show any other man so that we don't have to compare, cause let's face it, Amber in his current state, is no prize.

Contrast between Anurag and Amber is too stark. It's just so hard to like Amber now that we have seen Anurag.

Kabir - Randeep on the other hand are more balanced comparison. Both are good, just that both have different ideas and approaches about life. That is how characters should be potrayed.

Actually I don't watch serials that much, recently I started watching mdkd & beyhadh 2 after like 4/5 years. So u may be correct in your observation. But in b2 rudra the hero is sort of matches that criteria very well and my interest is getting low gradually for beyhadh 2 tbh. They are balancing btw Kabir & randeep as Kabir has already formed a fanbase while randeep was lagging behind imo, and maybe makers also didn't choose who's going to be paired up with nia, so they r giving content to both fandoms. But with Amber & guneet, we all know they r the final match. Therefore they r experimenting with them and giving us hard time. They r pushing them as hard as they can to create a never-seen-b4 story I guess. And I hope they keep anurag as positive character and bid bye him gracefully which will be quite refreshing for a ITV...

What’s with everyone painting characters either as good or bad.
Anurag is a villain all of a sudden ?

I didn’t realize the world is so black and white and that we are watching an Ekta serial

It seemed like Anurag was trying to pacify Guneet and trying to keep the peace between his mother and his future wife. We don’t know for sure if Anurag even holds the same notions about Guneet

Just like every person on earth , there’s good and the bad. So we will probably begin to see some of Anurags flaws. We kind of saw that when he compared the situation to Guneet not telling him about the online ‘friend’. I feel like Anurag might be a bit petty or maybe he can’t let go of things quickly.

I do wish they have a scene where Guneet and Anurag sit down and talk about what they each want from this marriage and their expectations of one another. Here we may see some differences and at that point they realize they aren’t for one another.
I really hope Guneet and Anurags break up is done with some class and CV don’t resort to Ekta type shit
