Hadith Number 9

In his last testament to Ali (peace be upon him), the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) told him: "O' Ali! I advice you to recite the Qur'an in every state (which you may find yourself in)."

Hadith Number 10

The Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) has said: "Nothing is harder for Satan to bear than a person who recites the Qur'an by looking at the pages (of the Qur'an)."

Hadith Number 11

The Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) has said: "Brighten up your houses through the recitation of the Qur'an, and do not make them (your homes) like graves, similar to what the Jews and Christians have done (by not performing the prayers and worship of God in their house and limiting this to the Synagogues and Churches)."

Hadith Number 12

Imam Ja'far ibne Muhammad as-Sadiq (peace be upon him) has said: "One who recites the Qur'an will be free from need (of everyone), and thereafter will not be in need of anything. But as for the one (who does not recite the Qur'an), nothing at all will make him needless (and he will always be in need of others)."

Hadith Number 13

The Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) has said: "One who recites ten verses (ayat) of the Qur'an every night will not be counted amongst the negligent ones (Ghafilin); and one who recites fifty verses (ayat) will be written as those who remember Allah (Dhakirin); and one who recites one hundred verses (ayat) will be written down as the obedient and worshipper of Allah (Qanitin)."

Hadith Number 14

Narrated Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir:
Once Jabir prayed with his Izar tied to his back while his clothes were Lying beside him on a wooden peg. Somebody asked him, "Do you offer your prayer in a single Izar?" He replied, "I did so to show it to a fool like you. Had anyone of us two garments in the lifetime '' ' ' '

I saw Jabir bin 'Abdullah praying in a single garment and he said that he had seen the Prophet () praying in a single garment.

In the house of Um-Salama I saw Allah's Messenger () offering prayers, wrapped in a single garment around his body with its ends crossed round his shoulders.

A person asked Allah's Messenger () about the offering of the prayer in a single garment. Allah's Messenger () replied, "Has every one of you got two garments?"

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri: When the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) put on a new garment he mentioned it by name, turban or shirt, and would then say: O Allah, praise be to Thee! as Thou hast clothed me with it, I ask Thee for its good and the good of that for which it was made, and I seek refuge in Thee from its evil and the evil of that for which it was made.

Narrated Mu'adh ibn Anas: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: If anyone eats food and then says: "Praise be to Allah Who has fed me with this food and provided me with it through no might and power on my part," he will be forgiven his former and later sins. If anyone puts on a garment and says: "Praise be to Allah Who has clothed me with this and provided me with it through no might and power on my part," he will be forgiven his former and later sins
