I was wondering if they kept the story open towards the end. By right, it should be shown Sammy being sentenced for the murder he committed, instead RKT was given the punitive ending. Does that mean, there is a slim hope that kaali might return in some form again???
Wishful thinking.

The makers of Kaali ended the show in a rather lame way and frankly speaking Seena i wouldn't want it 2 return back again b'cos of the way how they had presented it.The impact of the justice served was absolutely nil b'cos of the rushing of the story and poor execution.Samar Tyagi was a prominent figure in the Nimai murder case but towards serving justice his role was diminished and the only reaction he had was a nod towards RKT at the courtroom as if he was xpecting the impending doom .Apart from that nothing was shown as we get 2 see a news of RKT put behind bars after 3 months. The character Samar Tyagi had a promising potential and the show too.But the makers ruined it by bringing unnecessary characters and the trps r a reflection of that.In a way i am happy that the delusion the makers had abt star power was shattered 2 an extent as it is the presentation of storyline and the effective handling of characters created by them makes an impact 2 the audience and makes the show a success. From the beginning the creatives jumped into the main theme without giving room 4 development of characters. The characters of Vaani and RKT was underestimated with their fight turning into a lame 1 .The protagonist becoming helpless all of a sudden and giving the reins of her fight 2 a super hero and RKT being potrayed as a shrewd, cunning and powerful man turning into a mere caricature who had lost all power 2 fight back infront of an ordinary inspector and a lawyer cheating them in court was beyond my thinking and utterly ridiculous.I hope next tym Deepak picks a role which has depth and various dimensions involved in it so that his talent and looks would not go wasted as it became in the case of Samar Tyagi.

Minnu dii, your response was something that I wasn't expecting at all... Adolf Hitler caught me off gaurd! lol... well having said that Deepak has the looks to do more 'sinister' (if you may) roles. I would also love to see how he fends in the not so serious ones... I actually would like to see what he might be like if he was a Shapath cop, or maybe even in Deeks role from CSI LA!!!! preferably I would love to see him in a dark shade but maybe one experiment with a positive character would tell me what he looks like as a 'hero'... :)

Ria, 'Clockwork Orange' and 'American Psycho' are very deep psychopathology films! They addressed dreadfully deep psychopathic traits and issues. I actually find them very disturbing!
How about 'Sleeping With the Enemy'?
My all time scariest psychopath was that guy in 'Seven'. Nothing beats that! He was so cool, relaxed and his smirk has the creepiest feel!
Can Deepak play these roles? There is certainly no doubt about that.

Alka Adolf Hitler's arrogance, ruthlessness and egoism is what i meant though i know it was a bit xtreme πŸ˜† as he is a dark historical figure.Like u said 4 once i would like 2 know how he would pull off a positive character though humorous types dont suit his looks. He could well play heroes that have grey shades or dark edgy 1's like as i pointed earlier that off Michael Corleone who has that dark edge along with positive traits attached 2 his character.

Suffering from Deepak withdrawal!

Jaane kahan gaye woh din...

In the meantime, imagination games will have to suffice..
And to continue our game, I see the strong similarity between Deepak/Samar and Pete Campbell in 'Mad Men'; if you are unfamiliar with that show, it revolves around the America 1960s, era where ad agencies were in boom- Pete is an accounts executive working for such an agency. Pete is basically a selfish, bitter, awkward, egoistic, seemingly shallow person, yet conflicted, full of many insecurities, and consequently, rather pitiful, poignant and engaging character, he defines real loneliness in the show, and though he is a downright jerk, there are moments when his condition as a human is highlighted that makes one empathise with him, something that was absent in Samar as he was only given one dimension through which the audience viewed him.
There are so many similarities between this 'Mad Men' character and Samar's, only in the latter, due focus on him was never meant to be, we never had the occasion to enter deeper into his character due to the weak character development of the damned writers of the show who were in favour of unworthy, dull and tremendously mind-numbing characters.

Oh what could have been..

Ria i am one of them suffering from Deepak withdrawal syndrome πŸ˜†.I think we will have 2 survive with our banter abt him and our imaginations running wild until he makes a return 2 the small screen.I was unfamiliar with ' Mad Men' but now by reading ur description the character in that seems 2 be the same as Samar- their emotional insecurities leading them 2 a sort of lonely life.
The only purpose of the character Samar Tyagi in Kaali was 2 murder his sister's lover and in the latter stages the character was deprived of his dignity by writers so as the naive audience could pour oodles of their disgust on him.He was potrayed as a brutal and heartless jerk without an iota of emotions in him.A truly 1 dimensional potrayal of character which is a tad unrealistic.Every human has a conscience in him which leads him 2 dwell on his actions later and react accordingly .The lack of it is what leads a person 2 be psychotic.Even a psychopath has various dimensions 2 his characterisation.
The indian television writers r in their cocoons with the clinched types of characterisation and r afraid 2 experiment beyond the already tested stereotypes.Had this serial Kaali had been handled by somebody who thought differently i am sure the character Samar will be shown with him dwelling abt his actions, his emotional trauma of doing things which he does approvingly or disapprovingly as all it matters 4 him is 2 impress his father. The years of lonely life and deprived of love and affection and the horrible incidents he got 2 see in his household all shaping up the person as he is now.The entry of a romantic angle in his life making him reassess his own life and finally taking charge of himself and liberating himself from the clutches of his father would have made an impact among the audience. But the saddest part is that it will all be 1 that will be confined in our imaginations 4 the character Samar Tyagi.

Ria, yes I remember 'Mad Men' used to be very popular 2-3 years ago. A colleague of mine use to speak very highly of the serial and she has the collection of DVD too. I might try and watch them. And Minuu, we all share the withdrawals symptoms of Deepak. So well written!I will write my views on Friday, am busy today and tomorrow.😊

Ria and Seena dii.. I think we all have Deepak Withdrawal Syndrome! :P

I miss him so much right now!! You know what... Sonali Nikam was on Shapath like May or June last year or something!! I saw it on the news in the Shapath Forum!! IT WAS LIKE WHAT!!?!?! It's funny how I know her now, because of the main role!!!

Minnu dii yeah i understood what you meant by the darkness of his soul... but I can't think of hitler... Hitler stalked his niece!! he was in love with her and got her bf killed... and pestered her to the point of which she committed suicide!! I mean I just can't see Hitler as Deepak... even with the whole arrogance that you are talking about... I just can't lol

And here is another role that Deepak I think would work as... Callen from NCIS LA... or how about if in a positive way become the Doctor from Doctor Who!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed it as well Alka! Sonali nikam with Shapath guys!! But cant get hold of that full episode online unfortunately...it was the May 5th 2012 one, you see only a bit of her in the life ok 5 min youtube upload with Abhigyan, Karanveer, Vikas and Aditya at a kids party.. I am sure she must have been interrogated by one of them gorgeous inspectors as a suspect at some point!! Good old Gautam was also in that episode😭
I would not complain is she became a sub inspector on that show, she can have quite a strong, serious slightly authoritarian presence when you apply it to that context, that mostly expresses via her voice and she would look fine alongside the likes of Abhigyan, Shaurya, Aditya, the new one and so on😊 They very much need another female inspector in that show more than male in my view- I dont really fancy that frail looking one- whats her name? She hasnt got much presence.

Just googled 4 Deepak's interview and came across this video. Its on how he made foray into the world of television and his role in the first serial. If u hadn't seen be4 just go 4 it.A good 1and he came across as a calm, cool and mature personality offscreen-very different from the characters that he has played so far πŸ˜ƒ.
I just wished if they had any interviews of him regarding the character Samar Tyagi as i very well wants 2 know his views on the character.
